good title eh,

well, we heard it was something to try and that it went right out to Es Vedra so we thought, go on then......................was't cheap and would ya believe it, you got wet .

nah, seriously tho sounded good.

So we got to Es Vedra and it was fast - granted, we did maybe a dozen waves and turns, then it was decided by the boat geezer to have a chill.

2 mins later he walks up the boat (having had a brief look at his powerful scania engine - arf/arf/arf) and states 'guys , we gotta problem' , everybody laughed and carried on until he said, 'no - really, the fan belt thingy has snapped and we can't risk overheating the engine' the reaction was like this  :D :) :? :o 8O :( , then the lobster pots buoys started overtaking us and the cliffs were looking.........................higher [gulp]

'Don't worry' says boat geezer 'I have a mate on his way to tow us home, he's just gotta do a job and he will be on his way'. Relief set in and we waited.........got hungry and thirsty..........and waited..............got rained on...........and waited more, plenty of boats passed us - dashing our hopes of being saved - bear in mind where we are now guys and gals, we see a paraglider on the horizon - something to watch I suppose , but then it reeled in and pulled up along side, THIS was his mate and he - with a boatload of customers, was gonna tow us home. I think it took about an hour and a half just to get towed home, and many jokes were made about the 'Ferrari' of the harbour being towed in by the para-boat .

We had had enough of the whole lark.

It's right down the beach from Bora Bora in the direction of hotels Garbi/Algarb. They rent paddle boats, Jets ski(too much money...a rip) and the lot.

Update:arrow:

We went back this May and the boat had just started up again, so we went and had a chat with the chap who remembered the day and was more than happy to do us a deal to make up for it :)

Will have to wait now till next year for me, though, as it was already booked up until the day we flew home  ..............like you say eh, '**** happens'

nay mind eh ;)

That is quite humourus!

I went on one of those fast boats in cyprus which was
Pretty cool! The sound of the engine was awesome, he wouldn’t run it at full speed though because they had to run the engine in! Rubbish!

Banana boats and ringos are a good laugh too.

I always prefer being the master of my own destiny though!

Jet ski’s are the way forward I recon!

Went on them in Mexico with some mates it was hilarious!

I saw a boat in the distance and thought I would catch the wake and get air born!

I did! As I got nearer I realised the boat was massive and so was its wake!

At full speed i fell into what seemed like and abyss and then flew up this massive wake wave!

My mate was going in the opposite dierection and said he has never laughed so much as when he saw my petrified little face clinging onto said jetski whilst careering towards the stars at high speed!!

I managed to land it but I was in shock for a little while!

A water motorbike who ever evented them should be made a knight!
