Was looking at flights for end may coming back beginning June, saw a deal for 5 of us for £585 return, then had to wait for hubby to get home with credit card 30 mins later, went on line and instead of 117 each it had jumped upto 180 each, in 30 mins grrrr, Hope it comes down again this week, peed off !!!!

Or try from a different phone/tablet/pc on a different internet connection (such as 4G as opposed to your home wifi)

unfortunately I,ve been looking at sky scanner, and according to their site,it makes no difference as they dont store cookes,

It can only take one person to book a flight and it knocks the pricing onto the next level.

Whilst booking flights for a stag do this summer, 2 flights were available for £145, price jumped to £205 straight after.

That won’t come down but try another pc/ip address or clear the cache on your pc as stops the analytics happening- not always but worth trying!

Book them now before they go up anymore!! I've only ever booked flights and seen them go down in price once.

I book flights all the time ,, they are arseholes ,,

There best trick is select date , then it directs you to airline but they change date ,,

I’ve just booked a flight for tomorrow and I booked 7th March !!

My bad ,, but they have cheeky ways to extract that cash !

Yeah always clear cache and cookies before booking a flight, not always but sometimes it does happen that the price jumps each tiem you check.

It does make a difference using a different phone/tablet/browser. It is the same with the comparison sites when doing insurance searches, on both you have indicated your dates.

I’ve read the blog on skyscannners site previously and the responses to it.

Great price...just get the accommodation sorted now!

According to the Independent's Simon Calder, this sudden price rise as you look again "doesn't happen" but often it's too much of a coincidence... I would have thought that pricing sites would look at what you have rejected, and maybe dropped it a little next time to tempt you - and then if you aren't bump the price back up.

Of course if a flight is selling quickly then the price may genuinely have risen next time - the key being if those more expensive seats aren't taken then the price comes back down.

Just wonder how many on here like this flexible method as you get bargains (but suffer if you book later) or would like to have a fixed-price, regardless of when you book, even if it's more expensive?
