This will be brief (more amnesia) 8O and still fooked :oops:

Started to get a bit worried on the way there :? as it had been a bit of a rainy week in the pool.
Got there though and somehow the ground was in a nice and dry condition :)

After meeting some mates we firstly checked out the Subliminal arena where an enthusiastic Herd & Fritz were playing.. Never heard of them before.
Spent most of the time drooling

over the Funktion 1 they had in there.

Met some mates in the Strongbow rooms - noticed strongbow have been at a few festies this year, before going to check out Darren Emerson. Not sure if he turned up or not but he wasnt on when we went to see him so we left and checked out Justin Robertson. Robertson twatted it out as usual :twisted: even though he had an early set :twisted:
Cattaneo came on straight after and he had to play the toughest set ive ever heard from him (probably had to after the Robertson set!) :lol:
Never been into Cattaneo much myself but some mates are proper into him to stuck around for the rest of the duration.
Caught a bit of Jon Carter after - Tried to mms you Sar but couldnt get a decent enough photo :lol:

Checked out a bit of Faithless on the main stage -which was rammed. But couldnt get into it at all so left to see a bit of Tongy.

Lost a couple of hours at this point. Probably walking around lost or something :oops:

Caught the last bit of Layo & Bushwacka and seen LCD soundsystem and 2many djs (who played higher state) before waiting for Richie Hawtin to start. Been looking forward to seeing him play for ages but wasnt all that blow away by his set.. Maybe I overhyped it too much in my head?

Yousef was on f***ing form 8) Probably the only set I listened from start to finish.
Ran over to see the rest of Dave Clarke close after that - which was also the shizzle 8)

Highlights;

Mates :)
Dave Clarke - Immense :P
Yousef - closing on Jaguar after playing his Time is my everything remix was sweet :D
Weather 8)
Party after :spank:

Shit bits;

Missing Infusion - why where they on for only 30 mins?
Missing Gilles Peterson
Trainers still getting trashed even though the ground was dry
Blowing out black stuff out of my nose afterwards 8O (how dusty was it in one of the arenas?!)

Some Photos Here

Sounds good mate. Always think about going and then fail.
It is usually due to impending ibiza trip though.

Overall, it wasn't my favourite Creamfields yet, usually it's all good, but this year it had a couple of bad points, still had a great night though. There did deffo seem to be more of a chav/scally element to the event this year, they did stop the music for a few mins during Armin's set due to fighting, also a friend of mine seen two girls going at eachother in the Strongbow Rooms. Music wise it was mostly all good though, spent most of the night in the Cream tent, Nu Nrg, Armin, Oakey, PvD and Ferry Corsten one after another, as a trance man, there was just no leaving it! Armin was very good, as was Oakey, though he played a similar set to when I seen him in Global Gathering Ireland a few weeks ago. He played Push - Universal Nation, which he didn't play at GG, and that was one of the highlights of the night for me! PvD was was his usual banging self, but 90mins wasn't enough for him, I would have liked him to play for at least an extra hour. Ferry Corsten started of with Moonman - Galaxia and I was expecting a monster set from him after that, but while he played some excellent tunes, he did throw in some cheesy efforts that didn't impress me. After he finished at 3, we went around the site and amusements for a while, before heading to Dave Clarke, who was fairly banging. Left about 5:45 to head for Lime St to collect our bags, then the boat back to Dublin and a party at home that went on til some time Monday, but that's another story!

what a shit excuse, as is the classic "it's in liverpool so expect scallies"
every person that goes has a run in or some type, whether they get kicked off on, get something nicked or see a fight, this means it's going on everywhere - not just the few select incidents that could be excusable through numbers.

renaissance witc had 15,000 and i never saw one bit of trouble and never heard it mentioned anywhere. the only time scallys were mentioned was in peoples shock and pleasent suprise of the lack of them.

I've never had a problem with the crowd @ Creamfields, I thought that people were very friendly tbh and the crowd was no more toe-raggy than at any of the other festivals.

you're definitely in the minority. i agree that compared to gkgg and the gcsss the crowd it attracts is similar, but at creamfields you do get more with bad intent.

my point is that every review of cf's includes some incident which show it isnt just a few incidents that lots of locals try to excuse through numbers and location. i accept it happens, but at any level it's not justifiable is what i am saying.
