Definitely not one for me. That was easy

Haha. Trance line up looks good, and there are plenty of other acts I want to see. Sorted for me, assuming the wallet can take the hit only a week and a half before Ibiza.

its not the best line up they have ever put on. but some good bookings there for sure.......the M-nus arena looks good, Jacques Le Cont will be fantastic at a festival and then there is the usual suspects like Voorn and Diggers.

Not too bad at all really if you avoid the outdoor stages!

worst lineup ever is a laughable thing to say. the biggest and most popular djs in the entire world are almost all booked, plus a few half decent underground ones this year. all genres covered as well from trance to deep house to dubstep.

maybe not for you, but deffo not "embarassing".

The global clubbing / music scene is clearly in a sorry state right now reading through that lineup.

Definitely one for the deaf.

I think it's a bit much calling it laughable or embarrasing. There are a lot of big big names on there.

I do have some beef with it though. I don't understand why they insist on dividing the artists across so many tents and stages. There's gonna end up being so much clashing in terms of whose on when. And why not stick to one 'main stage'? And leave the main stage for artists actually capable of putting on a proper live perfomance and not just a DJ set. If you're doing a DJ set you should be in a tent with everyone else. AND, it is the same names every year. Looking at the trance artists the only artist that jumps out at you as being 'new to Creamfields' is Orjan Nilsen. Where's the imagination from the promoters?

But other than that, a very good line up.

I may be heading to SW4 this year. Didn't do a festival last year for the first time in a while. SW4 will be a new one for me.

Went to SW4 last year on the Saturday and literally just camped out on the mainstage all day: SOS, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, John Digweed, Laidback Luke, Underworld. Even with the sound issues (which they are improving this year), it was very good.

However the announcement of Chase and Status + Skrillex at SW4 has led me to Global instead this year!!!!

Skrillex is playing at global too this summer. unfortunately i think his name is gonna be on most festivals line-ups this summer.

Wonder when the GG line up will be released.

Festivals in general these days, seem to have a fairly regular set of acts they book. Would be good to see Orjan again though.

2 odd posts without actually backing up your ridiculous statements.

I'm not dissing trance or the music that the likes of Annie Mac and co. play - each to their own...

I'm just sick of the commercial cheese that is being played out by the usual suspects who have sold out to the coin and of the goons who jump from bandwagon to bandwagon every time some **** magazine like Mixmag tells them to.

If the DJs that are playing on the North and South stages at this festival are a reflection of the music that is most popular right now then dance music is ****ed

In terms of the North and South stages you have a fair point. As far as I'm concerned, the main stage(s) should be reserved for the likes The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy etc. Someone who can put on a proper, 'live' experience. The fact that Avicii and Guetta headline these stages is a bit sad. Creamfields is a festival that attacts a lot of dance music outsiders now and it's cashing in accordingly.

But I think the general standard of the artists across most tents is pretty good.

Yes, exactly.

Neilly the reason you like the music you do is because it is underground. If it was played in the charts you'd be saying the same thing again.

This ^!
I dislike the majority of the main stage djs, and would never choose to listen to them but from this lineup I can still see a good 20 or so other acts I would LOVE to go and see. Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn, the entire M-NUS tent, amongst many others. I fail to see how any EDM fans cant find something they like here.

And something I've picked up on recently is that I would MUCH rather spend my time at a festival with a Guetta fan, than a "desperately seeking underground coolness" techno snob. And I really dislike Guettas music, and love techno! Enjoy what you enjoy, let others do the same.

Going by the amount of tossers that circo loco and crosstown rebels events attract these days i agree totally on that one.
