Cream vs Enter

Can anyone comment on what the crowd is like at cream ibiza? What's the age sort of range and the crowd in general....

Is Enter a space a better night?

Thanks!

cream: young-ish crowd, mainly british (but not exclusively british) plus trance lovers from all over the world and in all age ranges in the main room.

enter: techno fans, young and old, pretty international crowd.

better night? depends on your musical taste! both nights are well established and running OK this season so far

I'd defer to Stivi's experience and knowledge on this one but in my experience Cream is heavily northern, young Brits. Or at least they were the clubbers who made themselves the most noticeable. The disco bus over to Amnesia was quite an experience! Lively, to say the least.

Enter is far more continental in its crowd. But as for which is a better night that's entirely down to you. Whilst I prefer the music at Enter, I've had some great times at Cream, Eric Prydz in 2010 in the Main Room was particularly memorable.

Stivi, I'm interested in what you meant by "running ok", numbers a touch lower than normal?

can't tell for enter as it's only their third show tomorrow. the opening was very busy, but bearable.
cream is a tad down I think. not much, but instead of 'packed every week' I think currently it's simply perfectly busy.

Sounds good to me then! For Cream, reckon it's got anything to do with the changing residents? We've all got our opinions on Calvin Harris but there's no denying he was a major draw.

I think it's a combination of various things:

- lineups (better musically this year I think, but agreed calvin harris brought in the masses)
- inhouse competition (together/defected, house of madness) which are similar musically (up to a certain extent)
- on-island competition generally

For me tomorrow's cream line up is quite poor so I'd definitely choose Enter. However Prydz is on for the next 6 weeks at Cream from the 23rd and has always smashed it from my experience and is definitely worth seeing.

Cream has always been my favourite night on the island, never had anything but an amazing experience there! :D
I remember a particular night in 2011 with Above & Beyond, Chris Lake, and Sander van Doorn, all absolutely smashed it! One of the best nights of my life!

van Dyk and Prydz both on the line-up for my night there this year so should be another memorable one! :)

Thanks guys ... We've still not decided what to do yet but ill update this when we've been to either one :)

Having been to last years closing and this years week 2 bash. I concur Cream. Other than Carl Cox this is my favourite party so far on the island.

Youngish crowd in the terrace and mixed ages including the likes of me 35 and wife 38. Sorry wife

Musically this years party was better for me with Mark Knight giving a great Housey option to the quality trance in the main room.

Ok! Having based our decision on what was rightfully pointed out above we decided on Cream @amnesia based on the music on offer. We had a blast!

Sun down we headed out into Sant Antoni and had a few drinks at Itica and Ibiza rocks then we puchased our tickets. On a side note If I could of got the tickets on Ibiza Spotlight I would of done, but it was too late.

Quick snack then to the main taxi rank in San An with a que a mile long. We forget that idea and head back round the bay (the main road) towards Hawaii Hotel to try and flag a taxi down. Just as much trouble trying to get a taxi this way. We then got propositioned by what seamed a very likeable chap who said he could take us for 30 euro but we went with our better judgement and said no. Finally in the distance we saw a taxi dropping off a couple at a hotel so we made heist and we were finally on our way at around 1.15am.

We managed to catch the back end of Gareth Wyn who seamed to be doing a great job! Then Above And Beyond who really got the crowd going. We decided on a quick jaunt into the other room while the masses were still arriving in.

In the other room we saw around last 15 minutes of Lucas & Steve but didn't really enjoy that much. Alesso then made his appearance. We managed 1/2 hour here then back in the main room which we much prefered Above & Beyonds set who banged out quite a lot if their main stuff.

We had a bit of a chill outside to cool down then saw some of Genix and for the hell of curiosity went into see Danny Howard.

In terms of the crowd while it was busy i wouldnt say overly rammed at all and lots space to dance.

Very enjoyable night and defiantly agree with the comments on the age ranges although everyone there was there for a good night.

The taxi back to the hotel was a lot smoother it has to be said.

The celebrations continue....

Great stuff mate, glad to hear of the there was a big response to Above and Beyond, when the Main Room's going off at Cream there's not many can beat it for atmosphere.
