Hey all,I haven't posted a review in this section before so thought it'd about time i did !There are a few nights i will be at every week - including We Love Space, Ibiza Rocks and Cream. This Thursday gone (12 July) Cream was pretty special - for fans of trance or house alike. Paul van Dyk playing a 5 hour set in the main room and Axwell & Ingrosso going back-to-back in the terrace.Cream is often regarded as a pure trance night, but this is wrong as the music in the terrace is always pretty good too. I was lucky enough to interview PVD about 30 mins before he came on (interview & exciting competition to be published soon !) and he's a really nice guy. He was really excited to be back at Cream, having missed the opening party. But on the night, i was looking forward to seeing the Swedes in the terrace. The main room as always was so busy whilst in the terrace there is always room to dance.Needless to say Axwell & Ingrosso were great and we were most pleased, however for me the star of the show were a duo called Cassette Jam !These guys really mixed it up and were awesome to watch (and dance to !). During their rather eclectic set, they dropped classics from Queen and New Order - ok, that might sound pretty naff but they really hit the mark. Will definately be finding out more about them.Did anyone else get to Cream this Thursday ?Next week, one of my favourite dj's returns to Cream - Annie Mac - and i can't wait to get back there :>

i was there as well and enjoyed pvd's 5hr-set together with some friends. i must say i've seen better sets from mister van dyk before, but still it was a good night. the crowd went mad when pvd dropped things like: born slippy (by underworld), three drives on a vinyl (by greece3000), without you near (by markus schulz), airwave (by rank1), beachball (by nalin&kane), rapture (by iiio), beautiful things (by andain), saltwater (by chicane) and for an angel (by pvd himsel). i thought he only "lacked" when it came to new stuff. the main room was very busy, but still never as packed as back in 2004 or 2005.

paul´s amnesia set are by far more of "what ppl would expect him to play in ibiza" vs the style he plays when eg in berlin.

and i love it.
nothing against armada and fluffy stuff, but hey - classic stuff like beachball or angel or born slippy or three drives - THAT´S what we just like to hear on the amnesia sound system with thousands of ppl going ballistic around you, the ice cannon etc etc etc.

we´ll arrive 06.09. and stay until the 22. so that´s 3x cream for us :)

i was there and thought it was faaar too rammed, i came out with sore balls due to people banging into them so much..........

if you say it was busier in 04/05 thank god i wasnt there!

I agree, I like to hear all those old songs. I mean don't get me wrong, I love to hear the new stuff, but I love old classic songs that just make you wanna die when they come on. I feel like he doesn't always play the old songs when he comes to NY, he plays some but there are so many I love that he like never plays anymore. So to hear stuff like that in Ibiza just makes the night that much better for me. Just my opinion of what I like.
