Does anybody know if Thompsonfly are still going to opperate their cheap flights from coventry airport? it should start June 11th but there has been some press saying they might not be able to go ahead with the plans :?:
 
I think they have had a few disagreements about the planning, but I have seen nothing to say they are not flying in June. They have my money, so one can only assume they wouldn't have taken it if they had no plans to get us to ibiza.
 
tried to book flights with them but already all booked up when i wanted to go
 
As I said, they have my money now, so even if coventry was to fall through they are obliged to find a way of getting me there!

Can't see there would be a problem though, haven't heard anything myself.

When are you looking at going then vikkims?
 
Would they not give you a refund if they couldnt operate?? surely there not obliged to get you there even if the've taken your money. It would just be like a returned purchase.
 
Im already going in may for a hol but if i do come home im hoping to go back for a few long weekends. all depends on how much it will cost me the only good thing is i wont need to book a hotel as i will just kip on my mate floor in his apartment.

Pass... not wanting to dwell on it too much, just keeping my fingers crossed that it wont be a problem at all.

Didnt think to. Surely if they are having problems, they'll get in touch with people who have booked? Or is that just me being overly optimistic again? :lol: :lol:
 
Yeah, guess your right. Wouldnt fancy our chances of getting good prices now tho. Or even flights on the dates we booked the hotel for! I guess theres something to be said for a package holiday.....
 
If they not got planning permission now it could take a while and what does it say about the airline ay!!! not even sorted out planning permission. I wouldnt like to be the person that was supposted to of sorted that out. I bet they probably got the sack.

Prices will be very high now, got all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Thats why i prefer a package deal because by the time you've paid for your flights and your transfers to and from the airport it actually works out more, ive looked into it.
 
Awwwww shit, didnt realise it was planning permission! Might give them a call to put my mind at rest before I go jumping to conclusions tho. Dont believe everything I read.
 
Yes disagreements about the planning so id ring them or summat but hopefully it should be sorted by the time you go altho things like this take ages.
 
This as on the news yesterday.

they started flying out of the airport yesterday. it looks like a bombsite, and half of it isnt built yet, so they are having to bus people in from a car park a few miles away. they don't have planning permission for the terminal (which looks like a portacabin anyway 8O ), but they are confident they will get it.

they said however that despite all this all the flights are leaving/arriving as planned and they don't forsee any problems! 8O :lol: :lol: :lol:
