Couple Booking a Room

When you travel as a couple, will the hotels allow the two of you to single room, or do they require you to book a double? Hard to ascertain through online reservation.

I'm not afraid of sharing a small bed with my girlfriend... we slept together in a small bed all through college.

Thinking of booking something at Playa Sol, or maybe a Hostel in Figueretas.

Thnx in advance,

S

Playa Sol just has standard rooms with a double bed or 2 singles that you can join together as a double - plus a sofa bed in the lounge.

As far as I know there's very few single rooms in most of the hotels in Ibiza, most people who want a room for one end up paying a single supplement.

Thank you again Barbie.
I think you should start putting together reasonable vacation packages for Ibiza Noobs and allow us to 'em through Spotlight. You could make a bundle without even overcharging a single person!
If you could arrange it so that everybody that booked through you also got guest-listed for 3 nights of clubbing - that's the hook, and you would have the most popular Ibiza travel package on the net.
Need a partner? ;)

When I stayed at the Fiesta hotel in Playa d'en bossa 2 years ago, I was on my own and got a double bed rather than two single beds.

Perhaps you could request it in your booking form?

beats me why single travellers get charged MORE, for smaller rooms?! out-bleedin-ragous!

most places i have been to (not just Ibiza) had twin beds, either going solo or with someone else.

single travellers don't get charged more. if a double room costs 50 per person that's 100 in total. a single occupancy rate is 70. so that's 30 less. that's how it works on this site anyway.

 :? :?:
thats 20 more

it's never as funny when you have to explain.

1 person in a room meant for 2 pays 70 for a room which normally costs 100.

100 - 70 = 30

Thank you for the replies.
The confusion for me comes from when they charge by the room, not by the person. There was a couple of places I was looking into that book by the room, but when trying to make a reservation on a single it doesn't give me the option in the pull down menu of having two people in a single room.
I'm sure they would allow it if I pay a supplemental fee - we'll see.
