COULD THIS BE TRUE?

It could be true, it might not be true, I never trust studies where there is only a small sample as it is hardly representative.

Hello  - Seratonin Levels ??- depletion of?? - did we learn nothing at school here?? 5HTP tablets anyone??

mmmmmm

:D probably not far of the mark though,i think its only now that we will get the benefit of these long term studies. ;)

That's why going out and buying yourself a nice new handbag/pair of shoes is always a MUST after a night out!

(It cheers me up no end ;) )

No but if you notice, the study was on HEAVY users...

So after a while, the depletion in seratonin will cause a depressed feeling.

Yeah I think it's kind of accepted.

But after time once you stop taking them, the seratonin level will rise again.

:D so..are we all agreed then, that long term exctasy use can and will produce after effects?

I think it's too early to say. What we do know is that long term drinking and smoking produces more severe after effects and people continue to do both of those.

ehhhh

:D i was put on an anti-depressant once i think it was prozac!,wild stuff!.....fcuk me i didnt know wether i was coming or going.lol. i think it had something to do with seratonin levels too, another was seroxotat.

Not just seratonin depletion either, some studies suggest a possibility of down-regulated seratonin receptors, i.e. receptors that kind of go into 'hibernation'. But do note the use of 'suggest' and 'possibility' there.

And stick with it to the end, makes interesting reading (well I thought so anyway).
