hi just booked 2 weeks at the costa sur hotel in the quiet end of san an bay (because we have 2 young children) 25th of august. does anyone know if its any good ? weve heard some mixed views mostly good tho. fancied a change as we normally stay in den bossa or figuretas. we are a little nervy as it seems a very good half board deal we got. many thanks in advance

We stayed at the costa sur in May 2006 and had a great time.. so good that we re-booked and went for 2 weeks at the end of June 2007. The rooms are basic but we spend very little time in them. We have 2 children ourselves 11 and 16 and find that there is everything we need on the doorstep although we do get out and travel most days. The pools are great - 2 large and one for very young children. Plenty of entertainment. I read a few reviews on the Costa Sur and there seems to be a small time when the complex had a number of break-ins. Both times we were there we heard of no problems. We have booked to go again in October and this time taking with us 6 other people - you will have to let me know of your holiday experience when you have come back from your break in August. There is cabaret bar onsight although you only have to walk a few minutes to the bowling alley, amusement parks and plenty of other bars that align the streets heading into san an.
