CONTROVERSIAL

When I were a wee lad on this site, I was forever getting into trouble with controversial posts and comments.

Whether it was leading a campaign to get water prices changed (of which there has been some change- DC10!!!) or blasting homophobics, I was there.

So come on. Say something controversial for the weekend.

MAKE ME DISAGREE.... Please!

Alright then.

I hear Michael Jackson (read in the Sunday Star mind you) is set to get out of debt by opening up his home to kids as a theme park.

Hasn't he been doing this for free for years?

Its disgusting the pantomime Dame ham acting going on at this trial, major characters feigning illness/turning up in pyjama's.

The truth will never be known, its just been turned into a total pantomine freak show, centring around greed and selfishness :x

Aaaah, there's a few like you! (Myself definately included! )

You would of loved a dear departed member by the name of Maurice! Contraversial is one thing he was called! ;)

Hi by the way!

I challenge your claim

Nothing controversial about blasting homophobes. It's standard practice for anyone living in this century. It's moronic homophobes who are controversial.

Nothing controversial about moaning about water prices. You should see my utility bill.

Don't give me all this "back in the day when it was all fields around here" lark, you claim you've started controversial posts, let's see some more.

I for one could do with some. ;)

Indeed. Agreed, with the qualifier that it's not the poor old subby keeping an ageing system going at little or no margin that's to blame. ;)

Haha, I knew as soon as i wrote that it would attract an Industry Disclaimer from your good self. ;)

Hi by the way!

ooooh ive got a new playmate.

Somebody once said "We may not ever know if Micheal Jackson is actually a paedophile, but why has he spent so much money trying to look like one."

Probably the same reason as Gary Glitter made himself look very conspicuously like one :!:

Controversial-that blinkin annoying cartoon advert about that bloke who doesn't vote. So everything he goes to moan about his mundane life, his mate quickly reminds him he got no right to complain. :x Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hmm. Nothing there then?

Well how about this:

Ibiza is cr@p, stuck in it's ways and probably one of the most boring, rip-off places to spend 2 weeks on the planet.

Last year, I spent my time looking at the listings, considering which of the same-old nights would be least likely to send me home with a massive debt and a bad taste in my mouth. Finally, believing that Good Fridays was more than just an egotistical adventure by Alex P and Brandon Block, 2 DJs who do as little as possible to give anything back to the punters who have put up with them for years, I made the mistake of giving Space more cash.

Billed as a Breaks orientated slice of debauchery on the terrace, we went along, especially looking forward to the appearance of Lee Coombs in broad daylighht and out of London.

The afternoon was soooo disorganised and there were smatterings of breaks, where I found the energy to really let go, interspersed with the continuous plod of relentless balearic house that dominated the day. The whole event finished early, by about 2 hours, and Coombsy never appeared.

A complete pointless effort in my opinion.

Breaks music has a lot to offer Ibiza. It has roots in the whole original ethos of the island, yet the island just refuses to wake up and see what is there. There was the occasional appearance from the superstars of Breaks, the Plumps, over the season, but still chucked in with Trance and House DJs.

The world is moving on, and Ibiza is in real danger of just becoming Puff Daddys w@nk palace.

The best hope for the place is if all you people decide to open your eyes and go elsewhere. let the families have the place for a while and see if the clubs are really big enough to take it on the chin.

I mean, going year in year out is surely not too dissimilar to your childhood hols to Skegness or Wales every single year is it?

But then, how could you disagree?

 Don't go then, it's simple!

I don't agree with most of what you've said. The island is constantly changing year on year. Yes, it is getting more expensive but if it's your special place then you are willing to pay the price.

I never went to Skegness or Wales ever so wouldn't know about that.

If this was on another thread I'd give you a better answer but i think you are more interested in getting a reaction than a decent debate! ;)

 so why answer the thread stuie :?:

Sad really...have old videos of when Mike was young and black, some of his live shows. Sad to see him fall so far from where he once was. Loved watching him dance when I was a kid. No matter if he is guilty or not, he is forever tarnished and if u just compare his old self with the white plastic surgery guy of now...disgusting!

Just sad...
