...for the only team in history who think they've won the league in August.

it was like Mardi Gras on the streets of Stockport last night.

i sat in The Bell End yesterday, they only have four songs, and three of them have something to do with Munich!

I apoligise for Idiots who chant about that, idiots who don't realise that Frank Swift, one of of our best keepers died in that accident and that Sir Matt Busby was one of our greatest, and longest serving players.

but................I dont apologise for............."City, City the best team in the land and all the world!!!!"

Very happy about the result, if somewhat surprised! Yes, we were lucky and I know it's only three games in but it's still sweet to be the only side in the Premier League with a 100% record and who haven't conceeded a single goal. It's great that Sven's proved his (many) doubters wrong and Richards and Dunne were outstanding, plus our new signings look quality. Even people like Hamann who were dire last season are impressing. The only downer is Bojinov being out for five months meaning we'll need another striker.

I'm sure no sane blue honestly believes that we will win the league, or even get a Champions League place at the end of the season, but the main thing is that people are starting to take us seriously and for the first time in years, look as though we can actually do something positive.

Oh, and I agree with jjinit embarrassment's when idiots start to sing 'that' song. Thankfully it's rarely sung these days and most agree that it's shameful and idiotic when you consider the Frank Swift issue.

Not a dig at you guys this, your only expressing an obvious sentiment with the best intentions. But the sheer sanctimonious twaddle that some football fans come out with annoys me at times. For instance Liverpool fans saying, 'you should not sing about Munich, remember H'boro', and united fans vice versa etc. Or finding some kind of link into a tragedy so the pain can be shared about. No one has a monopoly on grief or pain. Jokes/songs about such issues are abhorent and have no place irrespective of what team you support or grief suffered. To its natural conclusion it's like saying its ok to sing about Munich if you are not a Liverpool fan, ditto H'boro/United fans.

Evidently not true.

Or am I over sensitive on this issue?:?

no...we had just maintained our 100% record by playing not too great. Mind you you were probably crying into your buckfast at the time!!!

No, I think most sane people would agree it's generally disgusting to sing taunts about tragic deaths no matter who you are or whom you're taunting :?

Sorry, my over sensitivity was towards statements such as 'we should particularly understand the pain of team X as we have also been through a similar experience, and therefore should not sing about event Y'. Then being presented as a morally righteous decision. A typical footy fan sentiment.

agree completely

again, just morons. back in the 80's the utd fans would shout "shankly 81" to the liverpools cry of "Munich", city fans did it too.

Bill Shankly arguably one of footballs greatest ever managers, the Munich air crash, decimated one of Englands most promising young teams and with it many others!!!
