my hubby always thought San miguel was brewed in Ibiza, in San Miguel,but looking on the san miguel site it says its brewed in Manila in the Phillipines,
is this brewqed in Ibiza and can you look round the brewery thanks x

San Miguel is a Spanish version of the American town Springfield. There are 100's of them about.

Its a clever marketing tool, as it can be associated with so many places.

To the best of my knowledge there is only one beer brewed in Ibiza, Islena.

San Miguel Philippines was the parent company of San Miguel Spain.
Today San Miguel Spain is owned by Mahou.

To my best knowledge, there are various brewerys on mainland Spain.

Isleña is being bottled in Germany, but it is made from barley grown on Ibiza.
