So...

The US is targeting Russia with missiles (although they say it's to deflect Iran - rubbish!) - even though Iran poses no threat. (hello America)

Russia is understandably (tho not rightly) retaliating as a defense mechanism...can someone explain to me why they are focused on targets in western europe as opposed to the US?!?

Doesn't that make it a bit messy?

...and can't we all just get along?

the quote was something like.

"when bad thing happens, an island will be the safe place"

translates as "when armageddon occurs, ibiza is the only safe place". :roll: :roll: sorry, i'm a tad cynical about the old nostra.:lol: :lol:

the one's about hitler were the best, when they basically just added a letter to totally change what he originally meant, in order that you could make the word hitler.:roll: :lol:

Oh God no - we're not going to die...we're just going to spend the next decade watching the US try and control everyone with big ':roll:' expressions on our faces.

Have you seen the latest with the Kyoto? They're now trying to start their own US lead negotiations in an attempt to overrule the UN on the basis that they're the wealthiest nation.

it's a missile defense system based in Europe, rightly or wrongly, not missile pointed at Russia.:spank: :spank:

This is just another way for weapon hawkers to make more money. The cold war might stop global warming.:roll:

There would be an early-warning radar system in the Czech Republic and 10 interceptor missiles in Poland (or vice versa :?). The idea, supposedly, is to intercept any missiles coming in from the Middle East.

Russia is a little upset about it because they think it would be used to block Russian missiles heading for the US, thus reducing the strategic deterrent that's kept us all alive for 50 years (i.e. "you bomb me and I'll bomb you back" becomes "you bomb me and now you can block my missles with your fancy intercept system").

In response, Russia has tested a new missile with multiple warheads. They've also said they might retarget some missiles at Europe. It doesn't really matter to be honest - any missile can be re-targeted in the time it takes to type in a pair of coordinates.

And finally, no, I had nothing to do with it :lol:

I think it all boils down to who you trust the least: George W. Bush's American government or Putin's Russian government (the shifty Commie barstewards;):lol::lol: )
