I have a not so impressed take on wls opening below. the next night I headed for Cocoon at Amnesia. I was much more into it. They put on a great show. the headline DJ (Sven Vath?) really got people into it, ya can´t go wrong with sexy dancing girls, and where do they get that huge dry ice cannon thingamajiggy that they kept blasting the crowd with in the main room? I want one!
Granted drink prices were still insane as they are at all the big clubs. I tried to make it through the night from about 1am on without buying anything, but I finally had to suck it up and get the 8 euro water. It was either that or pass out from dehydration after all that dancing. Good times.
I guess people looking for somewhere to chill out would have been hurting. the main room definitely wasn´t the place. The other room was chill to start with, but picked up later on. Other than that it´s mostly VIP areas.
My third night I just hung out in the San An scene... took it easy. good people watching. I´m in San Sebastian now and will be back to Ibiza with a big group of people from the 27th to the 30th of June.
by the way, we´re going to miss tiesto. Most of the music seemed to be progressive trance. Does anyone know which club(s) might play some of melodic styles Tiesto is fond of on albums like the In Search of Sunrise series? Or Ferry Corsten´s Live at the Spundae...
