Clubbing Elsewhere

Alright Lads and Lassies, I know this is kind of getting away from the theme of the website but can anyone suggest a good place to go for good clubs and music apart from Ibiza. Budget wont stretch to another trip to Ibiza this year but was thinking of going somewhere around mainland Europe. Heard Germany, Czech Republic and Romania supposed to be good. Any suggestions appreciated!Cheers
 
Thanx for the responses.Looks like Berlin could be a winner. Im gonna be lazy and instead of trying to look it up does anyone know if there are any festivals or big gigs on in the next month or two that would be worth waiting for rather than just heading over on a normal weekend? Cheers
 
True dat - bit of a spirit regular myself but Id like to go somewhere where you dont get kicked out at 2.30 - 3, dont have to listen to beyonce or build me a buttercup and the majority of people in a club are not just there to get as pissed as possible than fight with everything from you to the lamp posts!

Didn't think many Irish went to Spirit thesedays thought it was all Polish and Eastern Europeans.

Spirit is a rip off anyway €20 to get in, My mate has a VIP pass for Tripod so i get in for free any Saturday, the back room is the best funky Spanish House,but yeah there are plenty of cheesy clubs around as well that i wouldn't be seen dead in.

Bring back the likes of Sides and The Ormond, now rthey were real clubs.;)

Avoid Temple Bar, well when i say avoid if you choose to drink around there it's the most expensive area in Ireland to drink a rip off, plenty of other places to go.;)
 
Well I have the same free in deal with Spirit so thats probably why I go there. Not quite old enough for the Ormond but the Redbox back in its day or even Fireworks had its moments. Plus your right about Spirit being mostly eastern europeans but from what ive seen they is more into clubbing than most of the Irish people that go there!

The Red Box around 1998 was brilliant but the likes of Sides and The Ormond Multimedia Centre were the best clubs of all time in this country,any chance of an aul free pass into Spirit sometime just to go somewhere different (swap for a Tripod freebie):lol:
