Club question for the London folk...

I reckon Barbie will come up with the suggestions here but all are welcome!

Am hoping to get to London for a couple of nights over the next few weeks. Dates are a bit all over the place but want to get an idea of whats on where and best places to go. Would love to get to Fat Boy Slim at Fabric but I assume it'll be an all ticket affair and near impossible to get one?
Other than that what are we talking? Turnmills? Ministry?
Not been to London in an age so am a bit out of touch.

Not much web access cause of evil work bosses but all suggestions are appreciated in advance.

Cheers.

Hello, you called  ;)

The Fatboy Fabric night is Thursday 16th Nov and as well as Fatboy, the line-up includes Mylo, Annie Mac, Damon Albarn and some others - there are tickets on sale at £12 on Ticketweb.

Of the other big clubs the main line-ups over the next few weeks are:

Ministry:

Saturdays @ Ministry are Saturday Sessions:

4/11 - Derrick May, Francois K, Jim Masters
11/11 - Mark Knight, Fedde La Grande, Tom Neville, Mike Monday
18/11 - X-Press 2, Yousef, Stacey Pullen
25/11 - Trentemollor Live, John Acquaviva, Woolford
2/12 - Tongy, MYNC Project, Alex Neri
9/12 - Morillo
17/12 - Steve Angello plus more tbc
24/12 - Soul Heaven line up tba

Turnmills:

Friday are The Gallery - which are mostly trance/prog - not sure if you're into that but you have the likes of Oakie, Above and Beyond, Seb, Tall Paul, Dave Seaman there over the next few weeks - let me know if you need actual line-ups if that's your bag.

Saturdays changes by week:

11/11 - Smartie Parties Birthday (no real big names, generally their normal ressies)
18/11 - Up (Seamus Haji plus more)
25/11 - Together (probably the best night @ Turmills at the mo - line up this month includes Justin Robertson, Etienne de Crecy and more)
2/12 - Bob Sinclar and DJ Gregory
9/12 - Smartie Partie
16/12 - Kinki Malinki (funky house by numbers)

The End:

Saturdays are best night, altho the last Friday of the month is normally Lawler or Danny Howells.

4/11 - Layo & Bushwaka
11/11 - Sven Vath
18/11 - Bugged Out (not sure who's there this month, Damian Lazarus is plus others)
25/11 - Underwater (Darren Emerson and Carl Craig)

Fabric:

I very rarely go to Fabric these days so not sure of line-ups, me personally I just don't like the crowd there, if you do want to go I'd go on the Thursday for Fatboy cos the mid-week crowd there is way better than the monkeys you get in at the wkend imo.

The Cross:

Fridays are Fiction (gay/mixed night)

Saturdays vary by week again.

The 2nd Saturday of the month is Type so you get Seb plus guests (recent guests have been Carter and Felix - Ferd is Type boy so he'll have better idea of line-ups for next 2 months).

Last Saturday of the month is Renaissance - Dave Seaman is there next month.

Pacha London:

Should have a bomb put under it - the last thing I heard about the place was that there were the same funky house by numbers nights on every weekend but don't know what else is going on there these days.

Then you've also got Egg and the Key (you get the odd semi-ok night @ Egg but it's never really took off like it should, the Key has some tasty line-ups now and again but not sure what's coming up http://www.thekeylondon.com/intro.htm)

Hope that helps a bit - let me know if you want any more info ;)

Barbie... in a word - Superb. Thanks a mill for that.

Looks like I might be paying a visit to The End for Danny Howells and/or Emerson. Ministry is looking good too...

Best places crowd-wise??

You get your fair share of tourists in most of the big London clubs, they do tend to leave early tho cos they can't handle the pace  I find Fabric particularly bad for tourists and general monkeys who shouldn't be allowed out  The End always seems to get the bet crowd imo. Also depending on line-ups, you're more likely to get a dodgy crowd at Ministry for say when Tongy plays than say when Derrick May will play.

Anything else, just ask ;)

Check the Cross out before its closed mate, its a great club.
My personal fave anyway....

Renaissance always pushes the right buttons. Not to be missed.

Couldnt have put it better myself! 8)

 You're too busy with golf and barry to know a good club if it hit you in the face  ;)

Staycool - The Cross is a nice little club but layout wise it's rubbish and is just full of people wandering about the place having a chat - ffs dance you're in a club not a conference :spank:
