Club Paraiso now has air conditioning!

I was in Ibiza last week for an early season visit and
was staying in Club Paraiso. From the reviews I've
read here the lack of air conditioning was the only
drawback about these appartments. Not ant more.

Bad news: It costs 5 euros per day.

u mean it it cost 5 Euros for a fan? Or is there a unit u inserted 5 Euros? Or u pay at reception for the unit 2 b turned on each day? Explain.

No, I mean there is a real air conditioning unit installed in the
room, above the bathroom door. Blasts out cold air. By default it is
switched off and you need a remote control unit to operate it.
This remote control will cost you 5 euros a day - pay at reception.
I've seen many other places operate a similar scheme (Last year I
stayed at the Monteray in June and Es Calo Playa in September
- both had similar systems)

I didn't try it though. The temperature last week was about 25C
during the day but fell to about 10C to 15C at night. It was OK
to sleep with the windows open.

At least it was until the loud music started outside by the pool!

great

i am going to club paraiso at end of june - and i am very happy to hear re air-con

when you initially get there can you pay for your 14 days all at once, xx

I'd think you should be able to pay in advance. You pay for
the room safe in advance so I can't see this being any different.

I didn't get it, I just asked at reception and the guy
there said it was 5 euros a day - one less drink at Mambo!

having to go to reception and ask for cold air each day would be a bit silly wouldn't it!

it's good but it should really come as part of the price you pay in the first place. just another way of them conin 5 euros a day out of u!

Not sure about these units, but i know the ones in es calo playa could just be operated by lifting the cover and pressin the aux button. No need for a remote. These look the same...

Hope this saves somebody 5€ a day :D

dragging this one up from the dead, but just wanted to know if every room has the air-con units installed? the no air-con was the only thing putting me off, but if every room as air-con ill book up cause i can get a good deal.

yes

just been for 2 weeks.

club paraiso is great

cleanliness gets 10 out of 10, maid service every other day.
food, ok but bit bland burgers a chips lovers will be happy
entertainment good, but repeated weekly so after the first 7 days ul see it again.
music great, but a bit hard trance etc for me, bit much 24/7 hard music.
when you check in they do not offer you air con, you must ask for it. you get given a remote, which you operate the level of aircon you want,. you cant switch it via a hideaway button, as the maid has to come with you to your room initially to activate the aircon, via a special key, so no avoiding paying it. well worth it, as its 5 euros a day per room. well cheap. also the elec is activated via your id card, which you need to take out with you EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT FAIL as you will not be allowed to get in without it. VERY STRICT. tip, the elec switch just needs any card in it, to trip the switch, so take a top up phone card or a tesco clubcard , something non valuable, asn as soon as you get to your room, pop it in, that way your fridge, light if you wish etc can be left on with you when you go out, sn ul never forget your card.

finally the hotel bar/ food etc is all bought by crediting money to this same id card ( which looks like a phone top up card with a chip on it). its real simple. either put a wad of 30-50 euros a timeon it, or keep putting bits on. every time you buy a bar drink, theyl tell u what you have left on card.
its all simple, well run, and have a great time guys xx

I just got back from Club Paraiso yesterday, well worth the 5 euros a day, turned out 7 euros between 3 of us for the week! A must have! We had it on 16 Degreees all holiday :D

The club is great, the pool atmosphere is a great start to the day.
