SEE IN OUR FUTURE CLUBS?

IM CURRENTLY WORKING ON A DESIGN PROJECT WHICH IS BASED ON THE CLUB OF THE FUTURE ( BASED IN UK) AND ARE VERY INTERESTED IN HEARING PEOPLES VIEWS/OPINIONS ON THIS! WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE OR BE OFFERED? HOTEL ROOMS WITHIN THE VENUE POSSIBLY- SO NO NEED TO TRAVEL BACK HOME AT 7AM?????

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL ROUTE THROUGH THE NIGHT AT A CLUB, FOR EXAMPLE DO YOU INVESTIGATE THE DIFFERENT ROOMS BEFORE DECIDING ON WHICH ROOM YOU WILL STAY IN? DO YOU GO STRAIGHT TO THE CLOAKROOM???OR WC WHEN ENTERING A CLUB. DO YOU CHILL OUT DURING THE NIGHT, THEN GO BACK FOR MORE ?

I AM VERY INTERESTED TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL- I WANT TO CREATE SOMETHING VERY UNIQUE & DIFFERENT FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF CLUBBING AND CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE CLUBS WHAT THEY ARE-YOU!!!! :D !

LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU ALL

First I think your decor should set the stage, Myself being a heavy clubber here in the states, what catches you first is the outside. That brings me in, then once upon entering... I have to say a dress code. To many clubs allowed the trashiest people, this i mean by people that are just there to start trouble. Every club ive been to that had a dress code stayed out of trouble. Everybody looked beautiful and just wanted to have the best party ever. Not saying you still wouldnt have problems...but nonetheless, it helped.

Once I get in the club I feel the vibe, wherever the energy is the best is where Im gonna stay. I dont like to move around alot, I try to find the best spot and stay there till the sun comes up.

I like the idea of a hotel connected to a club. Even better have the club situated at the top of the hotel, just adds something to it i feel. Maybe even make the top part rotate. There is a club here like that called 360. Windows all around and there are couches and stuff all around. it slowly rotates where u barely feel it but you know u r moving...very cool.

But as I was saying, Id love to goto a club then right to my room instead of getting a cab or wondering back. I do make rounds around the club and like i said, I stay in the room that i feel has the most energy. I hope this helps alittle, im knew to the site but i hope this helps somewhat.

I've been in clubs all over the world. Since it's the Uk, I would assume (funny, haven't partied there lol) that it rarely gets hot? You definetly have to consider the outside, but so many clubs I have been in show that they really, really skimped on interior decor. I like clubs laid out that hae numerous ways to enter and exit rooms, preventing bottlenecks that jams up flow. I like to wander (espicially when trashed) an will only stay in one spot if the music has got me moving. Lights need to be hung properly, so u should see little if any scaffolding. Placement of bars! if you want a rather large club, having only one or two registers, and three or four bartenders doesn't cut it. I hate having to wait longer then five minutes when getting a drink. Bathroom design is crittical!! As I guy, I hate going to the bathroom (espicially if I'm wearing my nice shoes) and then wading through shoe high piss and water because the sinks and toilets couldn't handle the flow!!! I feel for every 30 people in the club, there should be a bathroom with 2 urinals, and 2 toilets!! Maybe some sort pressure washing system for the guys (and girls!) who aim is a little off. Nothing says classy like a clean bathroom in a big club. (The limelight and the tunnel in new york were great examples). I wouldlove to see a club with a pool that you could dance on! Always invisioned a clear plexiglass like material draped over alarge pool. And before saying it's immpossible, I went to a few web sites that speaclize in industrial strngth plastics, and the answer I recieved for a project like that was surprising to say the least. I'll post more when I think of them!

I like to dance in places with high ceilings because it makes you feel like you outdoors. It's nice when there is a dance floor with different stages and quick access to the toilets. When you're dancing on a huge flat dance floor and the club is too busy, it's difficult to know where you are and to find your friends when you come back.

The Terrace of Space is a very good example.

I've been to a club where the roof would move. When the sky was clear the roof would open and we would dance openair.

Better drinks and food in clubs. Sometimes we are on clubs for over 10 hours, and it's not healthy not to eat for over 5 hours. Most clubs only sell alcoholic drinks and no food. High protein bars, Gatorade or any sport drinks being sold in clubs would be a good idea.

When I'm in a club, I like to explore the club, find new places, smaller chill out rooms, but I hate when a club looks like a maze and no matter how many times you've been there, you always see a place you didn't know. Some club have a main dance floor and other rooms, it would be a good idea to identify them with signs "Main Room" etc.
