Hi ya,

We usually stay in San An, but this year as we're only gonna be in Ibiza for five days so we thought we'd stay in Playa d'en Bossa to save on taxi fares. Does any one know what hotel Club Can Bossa is like coz we cant find any reviews? - seems fishy!

Cheers x

Sorry to have to tell you this but it's not a great hotel. We stayed there a couple of years ago. The rooms are VERY basic, no air con, just a room with a bed, fan and toilet, don't expect it to be very clean or light either, ours was really dark and dingy.
The maids didn't clean it that often either.
it's also VERY noisy - it's popular with Italians and when we were there we could barely sleep because they were contstantly playing loud music, banging drums etc.
If you booked half board like we did - DONT go in the restaurant. We ate there on our first night and it was disgusting... we could barely finish our meal the food was such poor quality.

Oh - and we booked our room out for an extra day as our flight wasn't until the early hours of the next morning, paid €20 to keep it, then we got back in the morning after clubbing and they told us we had to pack our bags and leave as they'd sold our room to someone else!!! :x And they wouldnt give us the money back!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I'd never stay there again - my advice would be to cancel your booking (if you can) and get into one of these PDB hotels - they're still cheap but much better places to stay!

JET
PLAYA SOL APARTMENTS
HOTEL GARBI
TIVOLI
BOSSA MAR
SIRINES JABEQUE HOTEL

Anyone stayed here in the last 10 years since the last review? Friend is considering booking this as reviews on the web seem to suggest its improved. Just wondered if any of you lovely lot have stayed here and have reviews?

yes, yes and yes .
stayed there. but it wasn´t my fault ;). we were a group and someone else arranged everything for last minute closingpartytrip. remember it was raining that hard that one of our 2 rentalcars was floating down the road when leaving amnesia-parking ... and the lift in can bossa only worked on the first day because all other days it was out of order because of water damage !

wrote something like a review back then but search machine doesn´t find it anymore, only this  Playa d'en Bossa Hotel recommendation
it was definitely long before the renovation and can bossa was a very very basic hotel back then. actually regarding dining room etc it had more a youth hostel vibe.
but all in all it was nevertheless ok and very cheap back then.
now it seems to be good anyway after the renovation when you read some reviews.

best tip i can give you:
that hotel consists of 2 separate buildings.
choose the one which is closer to pdb´s beach and ask for a top floor room with sea view ! from there we had a panoramic view from left (ibiza castle) to right across the whole bay including nice view of the incoming airplanes when they take the route via borabora !
some fools of our group didn´t wanted to wait till their room in that building was ready and therefore had to watch the ugly ass .... ehm ... backside of our building

I stayed there for 1 night a couple of years ago. It seemed OK. Would only stay there again as a last resort and wouldn't want it to be more than a few days.

I ended up changing my original hotel and stayed here myself due to is proximity to Sankeys (same road 2 min walk), beach 5 mins and only being 10 minute walk max to Space etc.
It was €90/night in Sept & €50 in October, check in from 2 out by 11, this included breakfast. Fairly basic breakfast, cheese / meat / eggs / sausage or bacon / fruit / cereal etc but nice nonetheless.
i wasn't flying until 6pm and even though they have a luggage room etc and shower etc i fancied a late check out, they allowed this hassle free, cost me €15.

I ended up with room number 1 which wasn't part of either of the 2 main buildings it would seem, instead a small block of 10 rooms that sat above the restaurant. Very quiet as a result.
Room had 2 single beds, air con, wardrobe, safe (pay extra for but didnt bother), wifi, fridge, TV, telephone, bath / shower & balcony.

Room was cleaned every day, some days i said i wasn't bothered due to being knackered (a bonus of travelling alone and having a room for 2, you can miss a days cleaning and have another bed / towels to use) , they'd come back later on without me asking and change the towels etc, thought was very nice of them.

2 swimming pools, one for children, and a slightly large one for adults, table tennis, volley ball as well. It was fairly quiet in terms of people (good mix of nationalities) during the day & plenty of sun loungers about. Music was played throughout the day, latest charty / dance music.

Bar served the expected drinks, i was on bottles of estrella, €2.50 which was reasonable enough for me.

This place ticked all the boxes for me and if i stay in PDB again (highly likely) then there's a very good chance i'll choose this hotel again.

I just left there today, was cheap sand cheerful.
They were closing up this afternoon so I got a free gin and limon as no cash in the bar till
Next time if, which is unlikely I stay in bossa it's sal rossa for me. Much better place and very reasonable when booking in advance.
