Hi - THANKS for the positive feeds, I've got some big news (for me at least) ... I'm moving to Calgary (Canada) in Feb... new job / new life / currently working out how we get back to Ibiza for September 2008!

Clive

p.s. I've updated the tracklistings on www.clivemix.com and listed the F-Mix2007 I did in June/July - an Indie/dance/trance epic which I spent a week editing tracks to produce .. lots of fun and mashups.

Me and Mrs Clive love snowboarding, after a holiday near Calgary in Banff we thought it might be a nice place to live! I looked online when we got back from Ibiza in Sept and saw a job which looked too perfect to miss up... so here we come!

Mad as it can be, we've never actually been into Calgary city centre - so it'll be a great adventure?!. So what do you think of the music scene out there?.... I know some name DJ's appear in Calgary so It can't be too bad!

I've had to promise that we will return to Ibiza as much as my 15 days holiday a year will allow!! (I currently get 29 days!) - hopefully the trip's will be long enough for us to thaw out - it's been -21'C in parts of Calgary!

Another interesting fact... Steve Coogan is making a film in Calgary in Jan about Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards - a comedy about his Winter Olympics there. should be good.

Are we mad?

Clive

yes, calgary is definitely good for being close to the mountains, as you can go to sunshine, lake louise, kicking horse, fernie and other places in BC, just for the day.

Even though the big name djs do come here, i find they are often on a wednesday or thursday night in some bar that shuts at 2:30, so you don't get the whole 'clubbing' experience.

Enjoy the mountains and the outdoors, but save yourself for ibiza for the nightlife.

Is that 15 days plus christmas / NY or 15 days total?

As its a new experience for you, i'm sure you will enjoy it... i guess its because i live here that i find it pretty dull!

any mix with "alright" in it just can't be bad! 8)
i've listened through the second one, there are some really nice tunes, even tho some of them maybe a bit too minimal for my liking. good job nevertheless :)
starting number 1 now.

oh and congrats to the newlyweds :D

cheers glad your liking despite my deep Dec mix which I wanted to do as it felt right - although it peeks in some good places! - a re-edit of Liquid - Sweet Harmony vs. Red Carpet seemed like a great original idea to me, earlier in the year but I'm feeling less original now even though we had as our first dance wedding tune - just listening to the essential NYE/Mix and they dropped a Liquid style edit and then a MJ-Thriller edit... I'm gonna need to find some new tricks for 2008.

I hope the feel of the first mix as a live kind of set came across with drops and subtle fx/edits. The 2nd "Dec07" mix is more back from hibernation, I'd strongly recommend a couple of albums for '08 which are by no means new... DT8 and Arman Van Burren (his August'07 Ibiza life set has a couple fo tracks I've used.. but not until after I used them and then bought his mix as an xmas pressie for my better half!).. DT8 has a really nice trance vocal album.. very nice... really like Winter and the other tracks.

HAPPY N.Y Clive.
