There are absolutley loads of tunes over the years that I absolutely adore-promised land, yeke yeke, anything by MAW, to name but a few-however most of the 'club classics' albums usually have one or none of the above plus some rubbish on-does anyone know any albums or mixes that have these and other classics on or would any of the djs on this board be able to put one together as I would definitely pay good money for one.
 
A couple of my fave 'classics' albums are:

Danny Rampling - Decade of Dance
Matt Cassar - Ibiza The Story so Far

Both have the things you've mentioned on and lots more ;)
 
thanks have put a bid in on ebay for the rampling one and whilst I was at it decided to put in bids for the silver and gold MAW cds. My life will be complete!!
 
try looking up Mastercuts classic House Comps 1 -3. I know promised land is on 1 of them. Have all of them, well worth getting. On these you'll find Blaze, Yomanda, Steve Silk Hurley, Voodoo Ray, 10 city etc.

The MAW Silver and Gold are 2 of my fave CDs in the world, never get tired of playing them :D
 
Just goto www.deephousepage.com and you'll see the biggest archive of classic house mixes...ever!! Starts from the late 70's all the way to the present. Frankie knuckles, larry levahn, tony humphries etc :D
 
The Back to love albums on hed kandi are my faves (may be somewhat biased on this one)!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're on special at HMV buy 1 get one free. So.... it's the perfect opportunity to indulge and get the whole set before the next one comes out at the end of month (which is superb by the way)!!!!!!!!!!
 
Thanks all for your help-just trying to get that type of music for when we are in ibiza at the villa and everyone is starting to flag and get grouchy there is nothing like some great classics to get everyone going again. For me that is what makes a song great-the memories (or lack of them!!) that go with it.

Great minds...
Ok now I have a problem having downloaded from that deephouse mix I am now trying to burn onto cd but it keeps flashing up with a message saying I am unable to do that-anyone know what I am doing wrong?
 
How big was the file? Firstly make sure u didnt download just the link to the stream (if it was then the file would be tiny). If its defo the full mix then is it a real media file? (eg *.rm) If it is i dont think nero can burn that. You'll prob have to convert to wav first :(
 
yup I think that is what it is-it is saying when i go into real player to burn it that the file does not exist-it is stored on the computer though-how do i do that conversion you were mentioning?
