Circo Loco - Best Moments

Reminiscing with a friend today about Ibiza and in particular the goods time's we have had at DC10 for Circo Loco.

What are some of your stand out memories / nights / tracks from over the years?

I've said this a few times on here but really it was 2003-2007 when I was 18-22. I loved the super clubs but Circo Loco / DC10 was just different and almost preferred it with the day time vibe and the fact I had no idea who was DJing or even what this music was (largely minimal.) The place was just full of freaks (in a good way) and it was ace.

DJ's that I 'remember Tania' Vulcano, Bushwacka, Jo Mills, Cirillo.

I still love it but the hours and change in general has taken a bit of a shine off it for me but you can still have an amazing time there with DJ's you don't know. In recent years Nina Kraviz playing house on the terrace in 2015 stands out, discovering D'Julz last year playing mix of US Garage / Techno type sounds. I've got fond memories of an early visit and being 'spiked' by a girl, losing my mates and basically staying with a group of Spanish girls who didn't speak English and basically spending 12 hours there, turning up at my hotel in San An gone midnight after my mates had left about 6pm and then gone out to the West End and got back again in that time!

Many good times at DC10, but when I first went it blew me away which was following a We Love on a Monday morning in 2002, the place was a lot different to now, the garden wasn't there and wasn't all fenced off, the terrace was open air with a few sails over the bar area which was weirdly in the middle of the room. I remember Tania Vulcano as well from my first visit as it was a name I hadn't come across before, seen many djs there from the early days Time Mass, Loco Dice, Danny Tanaglia, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, then as it got more popular they pretty much created a new breed of superstar djs, Mathias Tanzmann, Ricardo Vilalobos, Luciano and Jamie Jones plus loads more...

It used to be a lot lot crazier, people dressed up in fancy dress, people very f*cked up, lots more Italian and Spanish that now days, that crazyness doesn't seem to exist anymore, having said that, when you goes these days it still seems everyone is on drugs lol

Was that Sept 2015? I went to that one, Carl Cox was meant to be playing but pulled out. . .Nina held up the vinyl to show the crowd she was playing vinyl which I thought was nice....

My first time at dc10 and a circoloco event, heard mental things about this place but was quite dissapointed. "People crawling in their own shoe" was one quote. . .didnt see nothing that bad, maybe I was 10 years too late?

Apart from ignorant staff behind the bar who was intended on serving locals and friends only we had a great time, found a snug places on the terrace and manage to last till the finish, we got in their just after 8pm so success! Got speaking to alot of randoms in the garden area when the music went off for a chill it was great....very very rammed though in the rooms... would be willing to give this night a try again though.

Not been to Circo Loco or DC10 for a number of years now. First started going around 2002 and i will never forget the first visit. The place had an edgy feel too it which i always liked while out clubbing. It was full of every walk of life you could think of. It felt like the sort of place that everyone went too when nothing else was open or you were banned from everywhere else. Wrong un's , wreckheads , casualties you name it they were in there. I always remember a fleet of ambulances waiting outside ( seriously ).

The music for me was always one step ahead of the rest of the island. It slowly lost bits of magic the more the roof became encased and finally with the windows going in but that's coming from someone who experienced the open air magic. Not knocking the Brits but we can't party the same as some of the Spanish and the Italians the way they did back then, they had this knack of creating a festival atmosphere.

Knocked up 28 years in Ibiza and i have to say DC10 terrace back then may even edge the Space terrace from the 90's.. its a close one.

Too many good tunes played there to remember them all, Holdens a "Break in the clouds" was a masterpeice but the tune below always reminds me of them mental mondays...

Can remember going for the first time and there was a row of Harley Davidsons parked outside with some seriously shady characters hanging around near the door and thinking what the fck are we walking into at 9am :)

Yes I remember this, Hells Angels used to do the security, not sure if they still do but there are still some right crooks hanging around the place

Yeah that was it. Still went to show you can have a great time there and really get lost in it for me. I was not expecting that set from her and it was top class.

Before I got big into tech house and techno, I visited Circo Loco late July 2014 when Seth Troxler was headlining. Even P Diddy showed up to the party haha. It was great and the best way to wrap up a 5 day bender in Ibiza.

Realising at 10am in the morning, at the age of 17 that you ll find what you ve been looking for if you dig far enough... dc10 was true wicked afterclubbing in a place you felt free, relaxed, with strong funky minimal sound, democratic prices... August, Sept mondays with Tania, cirillo, timo, tanzmann... even f***ing puff daddy showing up... best days of my ...
