I so wanted to be a vet - that's all I ever used to dream about as a little girl - then I found out my market would be limited as I was/still am to a certain extent, allergic to just about everything but dogs.......
I did all my O'levels needed, biology, chemistry, physics to get into the Royal College of Veterinarian Surgeons, then realised just how hard Physics actually was.......
I was gutted......
Then, I wanted to be a librarian because I just thought you could sit around in a big quiet room reading all day...... started looking after the school library then realised I cant keep quiet for that long and got the Dewey system all mixed up and nobody could find the books they wanted.....
Then I decided I wanted to be a photographer, it was a big hobby of mine during my teenage years and used to take photos of bands etc playing in local venues through friends of mine, I loved it and I was really quite good, but I found out it was lumped in with Graphic Design when I looked at studying photography and I didnt fancy that. The parents told me I had to study a "proper" course for a "proper" job and they would only pay for me to go to college to study if that was the case....... So that was Business Studies and Secretarial Diploma course.
, I realised I am an organiser naturally and decided I would be a secretary/PA, and the rest is history really...
I love my job, and I am good at it so all's well that ends well
(but I still have an overwhelming urge to help every animal that I find and end up covered in rashes, sneezing etc for my trouble....

)
