Childcare in Ibiza

I am going to Ibiza with my daughter for August this year and I have been trying to find out about occasional nannies/babysitters on the Island.

Does anyone know any agencies or contacts please?

I would also consider anyone who is spending the summer in Ibiza and is looking for some temporary work. The person will need to have a CRB check, references and have had experience of working with children.

We are renting a villa near San Jose.

Sorry but I am old fashioned in that I believe if you want a child, have a child, you should want to look after your child - my daughter was never farmed out and my life was built around her and with her, never apart from her - and I still love her dearly!

Thanks for your advice Tony although not very helpful.
Begruding any parent a night out on holiday is a bit harsh!

Can anyone else help as I am sure there are many other people that may find this info useful?

i'd recommend trying to get in touch (when the season starts) with some of the hotels, english businesses, etc, etc on the island asking the same question. (like a bulk email to them or somethin).

i'm sure many of the staff who work in the creches, kids clubs, etc, set up to cater for british families, would jump at the chance to earn a few more bob one evening.

in the local papers in ibiza, there are literally hundreds of offers of canguros (babysitters) but it'd be difficult to arrange it until you got out there.

You don't need to be with your kids 24\7 to be a good parent! I love both my girls dearly but we all need our release! and all parenting and no play make parents very dull too! Yes you do everything you can for your kids but it doesn't mean your life is over just because you've got kids! I respect your sentiment but 8O 8O 8O that would drive me and probably my girls insane!

Not advice Mrs M, only an opinion based on what worked for me - enjoy your holiday in your way.
