£34m for a 29/30yr old who has at best 3 years left.

great player, great goalscorer, but will he cut it in the prem?

I think that it's a poor signing at a poor price. As for Carlos - what on earth are we thinking. I'd rather stick with Del Horno and that's saying something.

Still, looking forward to watching a third straight premiership victory parade next season 8)

Fronty - QPR are in big trouble from what I hear. All of my friends, who have had season tickets down at Rangers for over 10 years, have decided not to renew this year.

When Madrid bought Zidane or Figo. When Lazio bought Crespo. When Juventus bought Buffon. No eyebrows raised. It's a ****ing quality signing that shows Chelsea's ambitions to be one of the top sides in Europe. Shevchenko is one of the best strikers in the world and will settle into England very easily.

Shev is class, without doubt. I'd say he's in the top three strikers in the world now (with Henry and Etoo ;) )

Maybe a tad over priced at £34m. If Chelsea (Abramovich) werent round, his value would be more along the £20m region, considering his age.

Who will leave Chelsea to make way for Shev??

It's the market that dictates the value. But I know what you mean.
 
who cares how much he cost........if you can afford it then the price is right.

Sheva is the class up front that chelsea have lacked since kerry dixon.
