CDMA mobile phones in Ibiza?

so I have a CDMA mobile phone ( yuck!) but want to take it to Ibiza which is on GSM ( along with most of the real world!)

Now, I've heard many reports saying that my CDMA phone won't work, even if I get international roaming put on it before I leave.

I do have a GSM phone, one that i had from Australia, although I haven't used it for 2 years AND it was a pay-as-you-go phone.

Would I be able to use that old GSM one ( even though it was a pay as you go?) and just buy a new number to put in it?

Or, has anyyone used there CDMA phones in Ibiza?

(probably not as the rest of the world has the GSM ones)

Spain (including the Balearics) have GSM and GPRS networks so the CDMA won't work.

Your old phone should be ok with a new sim in it unless it's locked to a specific network....
