Catalina Apartments

Has anyone ever stayed here? I know they are an 18-30 hotel but weve booked independently, last year stayed in the Pacific behind Eden and it was quality. Anyone shed any light on the Catalina?

i know someone whos stayed there and its in a brilliant location :D right next door to cafe mambo..the apartments are meant to be basic but the hotel is clean
 
I've stayed at the Catalina. As the guys say, location wise it's good but there is no pool. Calo D'es Moro beach is just around the corner though, so it's all good.
 
Yes I stayed there in 1996. Perfect location if you enjoy the sunset strip. The apartments are very basic but worth what you pay.
 
i actually stayed there last year in June, it was a basic hotel, as the previous perosn said there wasnt a pool but we didnt really miss it. make sure u get a room with a sea view cos if u are lucky enough u will get your very own sunset on your very small balcony.

i wud recomend staying if u are just looking for a place to crash and not wanting 5 star treatment, maids were friendly and chatted alot to us. its right next to cafe savannah (which is my fav bar), and savannah is nect to del mar and cafe mambo so its a great location to relax
