Cashpoint or Travellers Cheques

Hi All,
What does everyone find cheapest with transferring their money?

Last year got ripped on changing travellers cheques, and this time am probably gonna use the girlfriends Halifax account as i think they only charge a minimal amount. Then just draw 250 euros a time.

Check with Halifax before you go - I was unable to withdraw from my Halifax account in Ibiza

Use the bank machines (and you can also charge some expenses while you're there and conserve cash)
