car rental - hertz

I've searched on here for car rental horror stories - and seen a few! - but haven't seen hertz get mentioned too much. booked via ryanair ages ago but their T&Cs are really vague, but wondering if a 4 day hire next week is going to really sting - if I cancel now I think I lose €90..

Nah their conditions are fine. Just make sure you take the car back full and also buy some Excess Protection Insurance (e.g. this - http://www.worldwideinsure.com/car-hire-excess-insurance.php) before you pick the car up. It's much more comprehensive and about 99% of the time cheaper than the policies the companies offer themselves.

Yes if I could afford hertz I would use them!!!

Depends when you go Minimarc - I've had Avis / Hertz cheaper than BK Rent-a-Heap in the past !
