Hi,

I am going to San antonio in September and I will be staying in the Brisa Hotel.

I have managed to get my car hire for the week for £92 :)

I was woundering if anyone could help me with where I can park my car, I have read a few things that say I can park outside the hotel on the street but I need a parking permit? Anyone know how I can get this or know of a free carpark nearby where I can park.. I dont mind a walk.

Cheers

I'm staying in the Brisa in a couple of weeks time, stayed there last year also. I don't think there was any need to have a permit to park outside. It's a bit of a maze of streets in that area and I can't see that you would have any trouble finding a parking space close to the hotel.

don;t leave anything in the car as well.over night or anything of vaule.give yourself plenty of room to get out as well.mine you thats what bumpers are for.best to use the back way in to get in and out of area where hotel is.san an is a one way system, bit hard to muster at first but fun as well.

only residents who live in an area of restricted (blue zone) parking can get a permit

ok, so if there are no blue parking bays and blue pay meters I will be ok?? And its not a towing area.

Are there anything like single or double yellow lines also?

I presume it was a good hotel if your staying there again??

It's a cheap hotel!

But in all seriousness it does what I need for 3 nights. The rooms are small and basic, couple of beds a wardrobe and a bathroom. It all appears to be kept clean and that includes the public areas of the hotel too.

The pool area is quite fun and has a reasonably priced bar which sells usual kind of snack bar food. Vodka slushes are a treat, but very strong! The guys that run the bar are a good laugh too.

It's very noisy at night and the security guard spends his whole time running up and down the stairs. All good natured though.

Be prepared that you will be asked for a room deposit when you check in, 50 or 100 euros, can't mind how much.

I'll try and remember to post on here once I'm back with any other info that might be of help to you.

Excellent, hope you have a good time.

Keep me posted, any extra information would be much appreciated. I've been trying to find out about wine tasting at Can Rich Winery but struggling to contact them.

Ok, I'm back! You can definitely park outside the hotel, there are no restrictions.

Hotel was much the same as last year, same grumpy receptionist, same bar staff, same night security. It was a bit quieter though, in terms of night time noise. While we were there they stopped letting people have parties in their rooms after midnight. Apparently there had been a few 'incidents' in the preceding nights, according to the notices which had been put up around the hotel.

Hotel is clean, maid service every day, fresh towels etc. Air conditioning costs 3 euros per day, well worth it.
