cars don't come cheap in ibiza. it'd be a lot more cost effective to buy one in the UK and drive it here.

agreed... we were based in San Jose last year, and used the car alot. (at least to and from Ibiza Town every day). And it would have still been a lot cheaper to get taxis everywhere.

The other cheaper way to get a car is to fly into Alicante and buy a car from there or surrounding area, there is a very large ex-pat community there so plenty of english speakers, you can pick up a car cheaper than ibiza then drive it to Denier or valencia and take it over on the ferry.
