had a wee look at the links from this site but was looking for some 1st hand experience if poss.

thinking hiring a car to give my friends a lift here and there next season. can you get long term discounted leases? any ideas as to prices? any advice?

you could buy one here, tax and insure it, then drive it down

so long as its fit for the journey, i blieve you can run it down there provided you have relevant uk insurance and tax documents

have a decent enough motor to do it wih just now but have 3 concerns

its a 3-4 day drive :?

would i not draw extra attention to myself in a uk motor?

knowing my luck it'll break down

we drove our car to Ibiza, much better idea! There are loads of UK cars there :)

ended up getting a puncture last night, happiness ensued when i realised i have bought the car with no jack or tools :oops:

think i'll need to get it serviced a wee bit before leaving!

how long did it take you to drive there?

did you give 'friends' a lift here and there?

did you get pulled over by the rozzers a lot??

Never had any car problems, thankfully! The first time we drove there we took an old convertible escort and we didn't even have any problems with that car 8)

If you go on the toll roads it can take 2 days (inc ferries) But I would recommend taking your time and stopping off along the way (4 days)

Yes we gave friends a lift, picked them up from airports, etc :)

NEVER (phew) We are very respectable ;)

never thought i would end up a taxi driver, thats life.

maybe take a wee bit longer going down as you say, stop at a few places and make it worth while (amstersdam) :spank:
