Car hire

Is it cheaper to hire a car when over in ibiza rather than booking it before you leave?

Also, I'm staying in Figueretas, where around here is the best place for car hire? I'm just planning on getting a small car, as they'll only be two of us.

Depends how confident you are in not having an accident. www.holidayautos.com will cover everything except the fuel deposit. so there's no excess if you prang it.

Most other companies will sting you for an excess unless you pay extra up front.

I have always used Holiday Autos just for that peace of mind - plus they will haggle on price if you throw a competitive quote at them. They use betacar / Europcar in ibiza so you dont get an old wreck either.

Another company that I hear is quite good is www.motoluis.com but no personal experience.

Both have good online quote pacges that are easy to use.

:)

I have used Holiday Autos for many years, several times a year which is why they are on my site -
BUT NEVER EVER accept their first quote, try going through my site and then say you have had a better quote from whoever - Hertz etc - and they will normally price match. Cars are usually only a few months old like 3 door Clios, Puntos, Novas, Kas or Seat Ibizas all with aircon.

Clara I noticed you mentioned the Sub Club in quite a few posts cool club

Yep, it's a great club. Was there on Friday for Michael Mayer.

Do you go yourself much?

Not recently,

in fact I have only been back twice since it re-opened in Jamica Street, I worked there for eight years prior to that though.

Does anybody know how old you have to be to hire a car in Ibiza :? I know it may come down to types of insurance but I heard that most places will not not allow anybody under 25 to drive. Any ideas?
