The local car hire firms seem to be a rip off compared to pre-booking over the net. Try www.doyoupspain.com, not in the bay, but you can pick a car up at the hotel at the beginning of the holiday and return it at the end. Save a fortune on taxi fares to and from Airport.

im thinking of using these cus we want to hire a car for a maximum of 4 days and these r the only ones i can find in the bay. i know Avis r by the klippe but i think they can be a little expensive.

I've tried Hertz, Europcar, Betacar, Hyperrent(no cars left at airport), MotoLuis, Centauro etc in July - £300-£450 quoted but just had a result from holidayautos through the link on my site - absolutely amazed at £198 for two weeks for corsa size with aircon if booked by 30th June.
