Car Hire in Ibiza

What's people's opinions on the best way to hire a car in Ibiza ?

Last year I got one when I arrived at the airport but it seemed a bit expensive - is there a rental company that people can recommend ?

Do I need to book in advance for the best deal ?

Thanks !! :D :D :D

I'm sure Dance4life, posted something last year after he had been to Ibiza, and I'm sure he got a good deal. Don't quote me on that though

We have always hired a car whilst in Ibiza and we always like to book it beforehand, as we generally find that it is cheaper that way (got stung one year hiring one when we got there so we learnt from that experience).

We have always used Hertz and their prices have always been good for us.

However I have heard good reports about holiday autos and Moto Luis, i have pasted a link to a similar query from last year which includes links to useful websites and Dance4life's review for Moto Luis which Ibizalisa mentioned above:

Hope you find something :)

MotoLuis is good :!:

They have new cars and when everybody else has sold out they still have cars. You can count on them 8)

Can you ferry a car over to ibiza?
My auntie has one waiting for me in Madrid 8) but duuno whether I can take it over there.... :?:

Got a great deal on a hire car yesterday with Avis.

Group A (Basic with air con) for two weeks at the end of June for £197. Absolute bargain considering we had been quoted £316 with Hertz and £451 with Europcar for the exactly the same sort of car and time period 8O .

However tip of the day, do not always assume it is cheaper to book direct with the Company as we have booked the hire car via Thomas Cook. We went on Avis's website the evening before and put in exactly the same details and the quote was £100 more (however it was the best quote we had had so far), so when we went into Thomas Cook and they quoted us that we snapped it up damn quick. We told the agent that we had been given a much higher quote online and he verified it with Avis and they told him that is was because they get really good rates because Thomas Cook bring them so much business.

Really glad that we went in on the off chance as I was going to book the hire car that evening online 8)
