Car Hire Ibiza

try www.doyouspain.com
They are a broker and work like low cost airlines i.e. the earlier you book the cheaper. Also they include everything inc fully comp insuance. You will need this! Every car i've hired in the last 5 years has been damaged and not by me.

I did doyouspain once and I cant recommend it.
Maybe bad luck, but at arrival, there was no car for me any near to the airport.
So I went to the hotel and looked up öocal carrentals. If you are good at horsetrading, you will realy get a good bargain.

And yes, I also had a lot damaged cars. Just have a close look before you hit the road.

Hi there. I used Manel car hire which was really good. Very reasonable and the car is ready waiting for you at the air port when you arrive.

No is +34 971 307 192

I have just used DoYouSpain

£53 for 3 days

now I just have to drive on the opposite side of the road that I am used to !!!

Have you used DoYouSpain before? Are they reliable? I've just done a quote using them and it's coming in at about £70 cheaper than Avis.

Not used anyone before, normally dont bother with a car.

70 euros for 3 days plus a 20 euro cost as I am picking it up from San An not the airport.

At the end of the day its a hire company, fully comp insurance so what can go so wrong?

Re:

I used Do You Spain, but it took ages to get sorted out at the airport and they were a bit unhelpful.

When I returned again last year I wasn't picking up a car from the airport so I used www.amigoautos.com/ . You actually get the car from BK, and the price is very similar to DYS.

Here's a curious fact for you. I'm compiling a spreadsheet of Car Hire options for Ibiza and have Do You Spain?s quotes. All four cars I've looked at are cheaper to rent for 4 days than for 3!

Seriously!

Not much now, only a couple of euros but it's a bit odd.

Hey Nica,

I've noticed exactly the same thing! Hiring for longer periods means it's cheaper. I'm really not sure if I can trust them.

I need a car for 90 days but they don't do that sort of length, so I'm wondering what to do? Any ideas? I go out in June.

Hi Jimbo,

I have posted a comment on Doyouspain in previous Thread.

What type of car do you require for 90days?

Economy? Mid Range?

Hi Jimbo,

Best quote I could get you is €24 a day for the 3 months with a local company I use for clients of mine. Its a 5 door small car with air-con.

Hope this helps

Hi Nica,

The reason for that is that Doyouspain charge you for a full tank of fuel when you pick up the car and you have to leave it back empty!

They do not use this catch if you rent the car for less than 3 days, you just leave it back full.

They can charge up to €80 for a tank of fuel.

So if you rent a car for 4 days and leave it back with 3/4 of a tank full of fuel, you get no refund for the fuel.

u can drive 24hours/day+night to avoid losing 1 cent for the ****ing fuel :-)

This can be a pain sometimes, I just got back from a week in ibiza at the weekend, hired a car at a good cheap rate of €114 for the week plus €40 euros for a full tank of fuel, even after doing 375 kilometres during the week the tank was still half full (it was a smal diesel car!) so i lost out a bit when returning it, however the cheap rate offset this a bit.

Doyouspain seem to have some issues with their preferred car supplier Crown Auriga at the moment, Although doyouspain give you an all inclusive quote, when you pick up the car Crown Auriga demand you either pay additional daily insurance or €300 deposit for damage which they charge straight away, then it takes some time after you return to the Uk before the credit it back to your credit card. There are a number of complaints on the internet of them not crediting your money back or having to hastle them for ages....just be wary. Do you spain have said that they should not charge anything and if they do you should get them to ring doyouspain from their office in ibiza before you pick up the car!!
