the "big names" you find at the airport,
smaller (local) car rentals are within walking distance from jet -
don´t know exactly how many,
but there are 4, 5 or even more car rentals around jet.
f.e. you only have to cross the street from jet to reach the closest one.
with a car dc10 is only 2 min away from jet,
some people even walk from jet across the fields (10 to 15min).

i'd try and ring www.motoluis.com and see if they can get you a car at the airport for when you arrive. that way you can just drop it back when you fly out.
DC10:
come out of jet apartments, get into car, turn left and head down past space with the sea on your left until you get to a roundabout. Take the right and go all the way up to the next roundabout. Take the exit signposted for SALINAS that is the 3rd or 4th one . Drive for 350 m and you will see lots of police in the car park on the right waiting to search you and your car as you drive into the DC10 car park.
In simple terms, look on the map from the hire place you use for the salinas beach and try and make your way there and you will pass dc10 as you go past the end of the ibiza airport runway.

as dont know how long i want it for yet,am i right in saying the north of the island
is better for scenery,nicer beaches etc as i never ventured that far last time,Not
long to go now,line up for dc10 lookin good next mon,stil undecided though as

DON'T WALK....this s**** !!!! I did it last year with my friends...never ever....
I always walk back from DC10 over the fields, it's such a nice walk. We even walked back from DC10 to Ibiza Town at New Year
Don't park your rental car at DC10 parking area! We came back tuesday for pick up the car and all panes were broken and the driver's door nearly ripped out
Had a lot of troubles within the whole tuesday to get another rental car ....

2005 there was a golf cabrio parking on the fields between rastrillo ("hippy-market")
and the little playadenbossa-roundabout.
2 weeks later it was a wreck:
completely demolished, graffiti on it, windows broken, alloy-wheels gone etc
