Car Hire - Cash Deposit on pickup?

Anyone know of anywhere online, or if not online, a phone number, of a car hire supplier who take a cash despoit when you pick up the car? I hired a jeep from somewhere in the bay near S'Estanyol in 2004 by this method but every other year I've used hispacar.com.

Problem is my credit card is maxed out, so I wouldn't be able to put any payments onto it, and my credit is poor so cant get a new one.

we used carjet when we went to spain recently, they take a swipe of the card, but only for if something goes wrong or you bring it back with less fuel than they gave you.
