Cancelled Ryanair flight.

Just found out our flight at the end of July has been cancelled. They’ve put us on a later flight meaning we get there late evening. As it’s our honeymoon we originally booked the earlier flight getting us to The Palladium Palmyra in time for lunch, get settled in and then a mooch about. We thought we might get the day before flight to add an extra day but it looks like the hotel is fully booked. So, my question is do we just leave the booking as it is and put up with it or is there something else we can do?
We’ve booked a Junior Suite but thought there might be another room available just for the night on our arrival. But seeing as we’re going at the busiest time of the season I’m not surprised it’s fully booked. Strange that Ryanair is saying the cancellation is due to a lack of bookings.

Why not get the day before flight and book somewhere ridiculous up in the hills you would never normally stay at for one night?

Good idea but might be a bit of a faff the following day to get to the hotel. Could turn it into a bit of an adventure. I’ll see what the other half thinks.
 
Take the flight the day earlier, book Pikes Hotel for that night, 5 mins taxi.. Soak up the night there, dinner and perhaps a boogie if something on in Freddie's that night...Then less hassle/travel time to get to your hotel the following day.. Gaining an extra night in the process ;)

That is tempting but we are planning a night there to see Nightmares on Wax after a bit of grub. Plus this is our first time in Ibiza so want to attempt to acclimatise. Or is that possible?
 
Sometimes things turn out better than expected. We’ve now got the flight from the day before and the early flight. Plus just booked a hotel for the day/night on the same road as our hotel. Hotel recommended by a work mate. So, we’ve got an extra day! Can not wait 😎

Cant go wrong with Palladium in general, as they operate a good few hotels on the island / worldwide (HRH, Ushuaia etc).. Nice staff, comfy beds.. Thats all you need as there for the island anyway

Exactly. That one was recommended by a friend, too. It’s got to be a bit special as it’s our honeymoon but it’s the actual Island and what it has to offer is what we’re interested in.
 
We stayed at the Palmyra last year too, great hotel. Staff were decent and for all inclusive the food / options were good 👍
