My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Well booked up pretty much a year in advance so was really looking forward to it and had pretty high expectations!!! and I wasnt disappointed!!!

When we arrived we had a welcome meeting which gave us all the information we needed on all the club nights on the island that we could go to!!! Then we booked up all the tickets with the Reps and got a package of club nights for the two weeks of our holiday!!! They told us that the tickets they sold were discounted but we didnt really believe them at first until we worked it out at the end of the holiday and they were right!!! the prices on the doors of all the clubs were at least 5 euros more!!! It doesnt sound much but when you add that up over 2 weeks your saving quite a bit!!!!

The Reps were fantastic!!! Really nice people who just acted like our mates the whole time we were there!!! They aint in your face too much which is always really good and they let you get up to your own thing if thats what you want to do!! They are really layed back and not pushy at all!!!

We booked the big reunion just so we could go back and meet them again as they are really nice and its not just the ones in the central city that were nice to us!!! they all were!!!!

The accommodation was alot better than I had expected for a Club 18-30 hotel ive been to one before and It was no where near as nice as these!!! very basic but clean and the air con is a bonus!!! The bar is great with good food and really friendly staff!!!!

Overall the holiday was fab and I would certainly reccommend it to other people and I liked it that much that a few of us are goin back in August for a weekend!!!!

If you are planing your holiday to Ibiza - dont go in May (even if yo do get a cheap deal)
Accomodation was clean when we arrived and nice but simply funished. However we had no water in the hotel for 2 days therefore no showers or even flushing toilets. Maid service was poor as room was only cleaned twice and only consisted of making beds (not changing) and emptying bin. No cleaning involved at all.

Ear plugs is a must to take as people screaming, fighting, and banging doors all day and night.
Only one night club open during the week we were there which was very dissapointng and not a lot else to do.
Got an early flight home and would'nt return if I was paid to.

This was a late deal and our expectations were very low. Once arriving at our apartments, to our suprise the rooms were very nice, clean and had everything we needed including a TV and Telephone. The pool was nice, there were plenty of sun loungers and a good vareity of food at the pool bar.

The resort was very quiet as the season had not started, but the bars were full off workers all out there for the summer and they were very friendly. The bars and clubs that were open stayed open untill at least 6am.

Overall this was a great holiday and if we go again we will definately stay at Central City.

I think the apts have been refurbished, all the rooms have new windows, they're all really bright and airy and the only problem we had was our bathroom light wouldn't work. This was fixed within the day so no complaints there! The club reps were great, really friendly and not too pushy, you found yourself actually wanting to go on the nights out with them.

The 18-30s thing was a lot tamer than i'd expected which was good, you could act like a prat if you wanted but you weren't forced into it!

The bar/snack bar was great, it stayed open till you fell off your barstool!! Also the food was nice and very reasonably priced.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

My holiday to Ibiza got off to a bad start right from the beginning. So for ease of reading i've divided into 4 sections:

The Accomodation
When we arrived there the night porter was absolutley no help! He could hardly speak english and took the best part of 40 minutes to check 2 of us in. The room lock itself was broken and the night porter himself didn't seem to understand that so for that night we had to sleep with our room door open. The reps although they spoke english were not much better either. Our cupboard/wardrobe was full of damp and the smell was awful. Although I complained to the reps about this many times I was told that it would be painted - I wonder if that room has saw that paint yet. There were also damp patches all over the wall and if you brushed past it the wrong way it was yours for the day.

The shower was nice and faulty too - everytime you used it your bathroom resembled noahs ark. Even worse when the only mirror in the whole apartment was in the bathroom. Water + electricity = danger. The bed linen had previous occupants cigarette holes through it and the sheets never seemed to be changed. The toilet seat was also rusty not nice when you had to sit on it.The pool area was unfinished with only one area tiled the rest was dirt which hurt your feet when you walked on it. There weres also hardly any sunbeds so get up early if you want one.

There was plenty of stealing in the accomodation - anyone could just walk in and as a result many things got stolen. DO NOT leave your door open at night, unless you want your clothes back. The maid on her rare visits was also not free from sin - a few people reported things missing. I myself lost a bikini and some club tickets.

WORST HOTEL EVER

I've heard all the above and more and worse things about Central City first hand from people who have stayed there too.

I think i was pretty nice and tame in my deccription don't you?

Quotes from another forum from people who have stayed there

"I've stayed at central city in san antonio. If i were to describe central city in one sentence it would be 'hell on earth'. It's right in the west end, it's full of the scotish (you probably should wear a football shirt to fit in). Theres no air conditioning (although there actually is - N8 ) and you'll probably get robbed."

"its like somewhere begbie renton spud et al would stay. f***ing gash is a polite term."

"add to that, lock your doors and windows unless you want someone taking photos of you whilst your sleeping."

If i was the first poster i'd try to cancel or change the hotel using the above reviews as evidence/reason. 18-30 are usually pretty cool about things like that......

8O 8O Did the first poster ask for someone to be nice to her? Or did she ask someone to tell her the truth about central city?

I haven't stayed there myself, so I can't tell you first hand but the reps actually call it the central shitty and everyone says it's bad.

Don't worry about it kentishangel. I have never stayed there, but I can tell you that in overall the hotel it self usually does not play much of a role in your trip to Ibiza...Party like crazy, sleep only when you are very tired, take a quick shower in between and keep your valuables behind as many locks as possible when leaving the room and it'll all go well ;) ...

im going on a self catering holiday so ill b cooking there aswell argh scared now

yr holiday is what u make of it.

just make sure the room is secure, go out later to the clubs so u pace yrself that u'll be leaving at 8am.

that way, u'll sleep in when most peeps are out.

take a walkman too!

I think the Central city may have been renovated/improved last year actually so hopefully it'll now be better...

I'm trying now to get an apartment with a group called ibizastar/ has anyone heard of it? website www.ibizastar.com. Would like some feedback if anyone stayed there or know if it's liek advertised. Thanks
