Camping, legally or illegally

hola a todos!
I would like to know where is the cheapest place to camp. I got a quote from es canar camping for 31€ a night for a tent.
If I cannot find cheaper I think I will just buy a tent and, go camping in the nature, any opinions on this method? Would I have any problems with police or locals etc???

wild camping is illegal, but if you don't camp wide out in the open where everyone sees you, you should be fine. maybe move spots every few nights will help too.

I'm here already but my accommodation ends at the end of the month.
I want to rent a car and visit the north of the island on a small budget. I've been here for two months and have spent far too much cash
