camping

Every year we go to Camping Escana,i love it! very chilled atmosphere with a gorgeous pool and close to town.Dont know about cala nova !!!!!!

thanx chezzy. cala nova is right on the beach but doesnt have a pool. do u go with kids? ive never been to ibiza with the kids before, so i just want to be away from everything that has to do with clubbing. are the showers and toilets clean?

we ate at the es cana camping restaurant a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. good simple food - lots of tasty pasta sauces - nice atmosphere, value for money prices. a nice experience, and all the dogs loved running in and out of the sea a few metres from the table!

Hi
We went to es cana last year, loved every minute of it. Was a bit dubious about camping with 3 children, but it was one of the best holidays ever had (by all of us). Met some lovely peolple there. We have booked to go in the tipis this year, the camp site is lovely, a nice chilled atmosphere, showers were always clean and mostly with running hot water. There are no cars allowed after 9pm (i think) so it was quiet. We looked at Cala Nova which did look nice but it was the pool at es cana that tempted us. Hope you have a lovely time, how long are you going for? We arrive on 5th August

stephen so es canar is right on the beach aswell then?? ive seen different distances from the beach on every web page, so you can never be sure

hi nic nac

yeh well its my first time camping with the kids aswell, so i just want to get it right. i think the pool will probably swing it for us aswell. its the same price as cala nova so thats not an issue. i tried to book a tipi but they are all reserved already. did you find ibiza ok with kids?? i was going to formentera but had to cancel in the end. we will already have gone when you get there, we r only going for a week.

hope you have a great holiday

We got some really cheap flights last year, bought a tent and just turned up. We found Ibiza great with the kids, they love it, this will be our third time. The staff at es cana are really friendly and great with the kids. We found the shade of the pine trees at es cana an advantage, it felt a little cooler! Have a great time, let me know how you got on when you get back.

from where we live its only a 25 minute flight so its great. as soon as youre up in the air youre already going back down to land.
i will post a commentary on "ibiza with kids (avoiding the clubs heheh)

a couple of questions
did u take sleeping bags o just sheets? its cooler there than where i live but i dont want to be too hot.
are there plenty of good priced restaurants nearby to have dinner in?
ive read that there is a bus stop there. are they regular the buses? to be bale to get to otgher beaches and in to town for dinner

We took sleeping bags, we used them some nights but not others, I am taking bags for the kids this year but just mummy bags for the adults. Yeh there are loads of restaurants, there are nice ones by the beach or there is one actually on the beach further round but I can't remember the name of it. We didn't use the bus we hired a car so we could see some of the other beaches and the waterpark, there is a bus depot in es cana. I would highly recommend a car, there are some gorgeous beaches!

Camping Escana is not on the beach, its about 7 minutes walk.We always hire bungalows works out quite cheap with four or five to each one ,bed linen is provided along with fridge ,cooker and utensils. The pool is great.. there is also table tennis and a pool table. We just got back im really jealous of anyone going soon .Have fun.

you're right. i went to es cana last night and the campsites are almost opposite each other on the road in. there is however a campsite on the beach heading out of es cana along the coast road (which is where we went) though i can't remember its name.

got it - camping la playa at cala martina 971 338525
