cameras in clubs

Is it ok to bring digital cameras in clubs? or are there rules against it? I'm asking cuz my friends say i make up my experiences in Europe, so I think this time i'll document them.
 
No you won't mate, unless ofcourse you can conceal your camera to get in. And be descreet when taking your snaps, it's not allowed.
However, a lot of people do (I have) but you're not supposed to.
 
No they will just not let you in at all.... ;)

If you hide it well enough you will be ok :)

Or if you have a mobile phone that has a camera on it that is easier to get in...

The bouncers at the clubs weigh about 350 lbs of solid muscle. I am 6'4" and not too small so I was thinking nobody could tell me what to do. Wrong. I was thinking I was all big and bad until I met one of the bouncers. This 7' tall monster just looked at me and said "do you ave a fotocamera?" I looked him square in the eye and said "uhh... YessirbutIcanputitinmycarpleasedon'thurtmeohGod..." Yea, I pussed out.
 
You won't have any problem in Pacha. Flashes continuously sparkle in there. I believe there's no problem in El Divino too.

In Space, they are the toughest about this. :roll:
 
There's several threads on this issue... Do a search to get a variety of opinions.

In general, the comments above are correct. You can sneak one into Pacha or El Divino pretty easily and they won't come chase you down when the flash goes off (though I'd advise you not to take a photo with a bouncer standing nearby).

Space has a no-camera rule. I snuck a camera in last year and, after a while, got caught and was told to check my camera in for keeping until I left. I pointed out to the bouncers that everyone around me was taking pics with their camera phones and they relented and let me keep the camera as long as I put it away.

I haven't tried at Amnesia or Privilege (though Priv is so big I doubt anyone would notice).
 
I rather not bother @ Space...I wouldn't want to worry about it...especially if it got taken up. I'd probably forget to pick it back up... :?

The less I have to worry about the better... :twisted:

In some states even going to the restroom is a pain in the a$$... ;)
 
take ur camera u should have pics to go with memories and its crap they wont allow it. jus make sure you hide it well. i took mine to manumission closin and space carry on and stuck it down my top! so pleased as those were the best pics of my whole summer there. :D
 
Yea i decided to get a credit card camera for $20. no way in hell im gonan be able to sneak my minolata dimage z1 with the adaptor and the wide lense in there.. plus if they take it.. $20 isnt tha much of a loss
 
i´ve had my Canon S50 with me to Amnesia the 2 last years (put it in your trousers) - no problem at all, I also managed to take it with me to Space last year. At Privilige they had a thourogh "body search" and they managed to find it, damn :( Well the manumission party sucked anyway, so no harm done 8)
