Hi,

I am currently looking to upgrade my decks and mixer from what was a pretty much begginers set up.

I have played on the cdj 1000's with 600 mixer but unforunatley are out of my £ range :x

Im looking for advice on some good decks for £400 - £600 and then I dont need an amazing mixer just an equivelnent one.

The numark axis 9 seem to have caught my eye and heard some good things, anyone have any opinions on these?

Look forward to any help as I know there as some very talented/experienced Djs who post on here.

thanks
jord ;)

Get cdj1000's.

Beg, steal, borrow, do whatever it is you have to do, but don't get anything other than the 1000's. Theyr'e a fundamentally different and vastly superior machine to anything else on the market.

I had an Axis 9 and i was a pig to use tbh! The CDJ1000s are a lot easier to use. If the budget is tight have a look at the CDJ200 mate

im going to buy 2 x 800 mk2s in a few weeks

getting them on an interest free, pay nothing for a year deal locally

tidy teckle!

Get the Denon DNS5000. You can pick up brand new from a dealer on ebay for £400 - £450.

These decks are superior to anything else out there and the only reason CDJ1000 are industry standard is there excellent marketing campaign (free decks to clubs, DJs etc)

I used only one of these for a year as it is the only deck you can play two tracks off the same deck. I now have two and cant rate them enough, solid build, 8 hot starts, seamless looping, sampler, save facility etc etc

With the two, it gives you four decks to mix with, Great for loops, accapellas and effects. You wont be disapointed! Check out http://www.denondj.com/ and http://www.denondjforums.com/
