Calling a taxi

Previously stayed at hotels and just got them to call us one - seemed like they only had to say a word or press a button and one came!

This year we're using AirBnB as Talamanca hotels have got very expensive so we'll need to call them ourselves.

Is there just one main taxi company on the island? If so, what they called and what's their number?

If not, any recommendations for a firm to use between Talamanca and Town/PDB (ideally that understand English). Which firm do the hotels use?

Radio Taxi Ibiza - 971 39 84 83 or 971 33 33 33
San Jose - 971 80 00 80
San Antonio - 971 34 37 64
Santa Eulalia - 971 33 33 33
San Juan - 971 33 33 33

If you call for a taxi 4.95 will be added to your fare.
I think I read somewhere recently that there is, or is soon going to be only one number to call from everywhere,
if that's the case I think it will be 971 33 33 33.

The companies also have caller ID database, They know if it is a hotel (& some Spanish bars) and answer first (safe fares, people always there) Secondly the know if you are "locals", If you have called taxi a few times from same place and number they will automatically ask if same place ? yes, 10 mins ? yes,, Jobs a good un, If you call and do not turn up, You will probably get that number blacklisted, Get a cheap Spanish Sim card, Call from same number & turn up on time will get you the best chances,

(I am talking about Santa Eu Taxis, 971 33 33 33)

Anyone tried to get a pick up from Salinas?
Yeah, I have. A few times. I just tell them were to find me. Last time I said I'd be out of the back of the jockey club. Previously I have walked over to Boutique Hostal Salinas and asked them to come there. Both times they turned up within 10 mins.
