We're going to stay in Cala Nova/Es Canar for the first time( after the Formentera stay).
We need to know, what to do and where to eat. We know WOM and Social in Sta Eulalia, San Carlos and the beaches. Jacaranda is a big no after last year with friends. No car maybe bicicle.
Thanks Ibiza77

Chirincana is nice for an evening sundown drink and a pizza. They had music on some ramshackle stage last time (going back a few years). Very relaxed vibe there.

Cafe Las Dalias was worth a visit and they open quite late. They have traditional Ibizan tables and chairs that are really low/small which is 😎. IMG_1081.jpegIMG_1082.jpeg

GRACIAS😎
Have been at Chirincana a few times.
Any late night bares with House/Chill/Techno music

Take a walk around to Cala Nova. It's not too far a walk.

Have to admit it is not for me after walking around from Santa Eularia yesterday but obviously appeals to people with different wants.

Yeah we went to cala nova earlier. Sea was decent. Not as yukky as I feared after the rain. 29€ for a burger lol

Cala Llenya is also a wonderful beach ( but on the other hand no restaurant, a small kind of chiringuito, the food is very average) you buy a cooler, drinks and food and picnic on the beach it's great there

Re-reading my post yesterday it probably came across a bit snotty, and I need to snap out of that. You’re just reminded that there are very different types of tourist on this island who are basically oil and water.

*Any nearby ‘all inclusive’ banging out the Grease soundtrack when you’re monged and sleep-deprived can fk right off though

Yeah, needs variety even if not to our own tastes. How often do we moan it's all being luxury'd up 😉

No Grease in Fig and had a lovely swim

Feels to me like you still have a lot old school no-frills holidaymakers, and the beautiful poseurs at the other end of the scale, but then there’s this more recent trend of huge groups of identical women taking over restaurant tables in the old town. Seems to be a UK bias but also a fair few Dutch who dress really sharp, at the more chic restaurants, guys in flowing shirts, greased hair, jewellry. What I don’t see so much are the old bohemian types, old wealthy guys with long hair, in linen and menorquinas, who could be Spanish or German, maybe they are more remote these days?
