has anyone ever been to cala longa or even heard of it? if so can u please fill me in with information!! thanks

Don't what sort of information that you want but here goes:

Cala Llonga is a small resort of hotels many of them AI surrounding a surprisingly nice beach a couple of kilometres south of Santa Euallia. There are a variety of bars and restaurants but if you are looking for haute cuisine and fine wines then this is not the place for you. Pints of lager and steak and chips are the order of the day. The tourist population is 95 per cent British, the other five per cent booked to go there by mistake, Having said that it is a thousand percent more sophisiticated than Es Cana which is a couple of kilometres north of Santa Eulalia.

If you have kids, a beer gut, more than six tattoos, an England football shirt and a pair of shorts that you bought from Asda fifteen years ago you won't look out of place. :)

I stayed there one year - not a whole lot of entertainment of a night, but its really nice. Its small, but quiet when you dont want to be amongst the San An or Ibiza Town madness.

We loved it on a day - but most nights got the last bus (around 6pm) into Ibiza Town.

If you stay there - definately get a car!!!

i have just returned from there at the end of may, i stayed at the sirenis playa dorada-which is a great hotel by the way.

i do have kids but alas i am missing 6 tattoos, a beer belly and football shirts:p
most of the people there at this time are families because the beach is great for children being shallow for a long way out.
the resort is quiet but with nice restaurants and enough bars for a holiday-nothing wild because it is mainly for families. but there are bars on beachfront which i reckon will get a lot busier during height of season

there is also a bus station with regular transport to santa eularia, ibiza town and sant antoni. and also another regular service by ferry to santa eularia and es cana

i loved this part of the island and will definitely return here.

Cala Llonga is a lovely resort - don't listen to that crap that it's just for Chavy Brits!

I went there a few years ago in the June with my mum, a couple of her friends and my wee cousin. The beach is lovely, a couple of decent restuarants, a few good bars but it is a fairly quiet resort, most of the entertainment is hotel based. There was one disco up a hill which was practically empty but my cousin and I had a great time. No clubs.
If you are after a nice relaxing holiday then go for it - however you should hire a car, the buses stop early in the evening but the taxis are cheap (thats how we got around).

The scenery around the small bay is fantastic and you can climb up the hills on either side to explore. There was a small fairground when we were there which was fun....

I would go back again defo. Have also stayed Santa Eulalia and San An and the Bay in my 9 times on the island.

I get sick of people slagging places off by generalising the types of people who go to them.

Go yourself and see what it's like. Everyones opionion is different.
