Cala Llenya area

Was thinking of doing something different and stay here in this area after 2 weeks in San Antonio. Seems really quiet tho and but there's a cheap hotel that looks really good,Club Cala Azul. I'm thinking theres a lot of families and couples tho and hard to get down to Ibiza Town/PDB area. But I think it'd be nice to explore a different part of the island

Anyone been here and know what's it like?

Or Cala Nova or Cala San Vicente, I don't like Portinatx

I personally love the area up there. if you rent a bicycle or scooter you can get to a lot of cool beaches in the area. even walking (if you don't mind) you can get to some lovely spots. but yes, it is very quiet up there and it definitely takes a while to get down to where the action is.

I've not stayed at the Azul but I know the area quite well. It's very, very quiet (nice though).
If you want to get out and about make sure you have your own transport, or forget it.

I'm gathering that but I think I'll need some quiet. I was at Es Canar not too far away two years and it seems similar. Apparently there's a bus stop outside the hotel.

Scooter seems interesting...I just avoid driving anything in ibz but I should try.

es canar is more of a little town, cala llenya will be quieter still. but then again it's not far from cala llenya to es canar. if you've not been yet, make sure you do dinner at can suldat (outside the centre of es canar), you won't regret it.

Llenya is great not my favorite but a lovely beach ,
I’m looking to move there , hard to find a place though !

For me cala nova is the best beach that side .
Small waves so junior vinyldreams can have a surf , supermarket for cheap drinks , and plenty of eye candy ;)

Thanks guys..I may do this. Again, really liking the hotel. It's very close to Llenya, big rooms, grounds seem beautiful, price is very right. I think this is my chance to properly explore the scene outside San An and PDB and finally get up to the north

Nobbie, if you do go for it...be warned, there's nothing really there, country lanes or residential. there is a small supermarket about 5 minutes away but I've never seen it open. About 15 mins downhill to CL beach, 10 to CL restaurant (still some nice live music on Sundays, + cheap paella). There may be a bus stop but I know without looking it up there are not many buses. I remember your review when you stayed for a short while in Es Cana, I didn't think you got the best out of that place.....

I think the food on the beach restaurants there is Terrible tried all of them , prefer a boco from the shop
That Cala Nova camp shop is fantastic, they pack almost as much stuff in there as the aprop in Es Cana, a little more expensive, but what the hell....those bocadillos!
