I've booked tickets in Ryanair from Poland to London and then by Easy Jet from London to Ibiza :-)) (12 July)
I'm so happy! :):):)
My question is:
How can I get to
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Cala d'Hort from Sant Antonio (are there any buses?). I want to see Es Vedra at first! :-)

hire a car or get a taxi.

in my opinion cala d'hort is a bit disappointing, the beach is like a giant ash tray.

agreed.

the view of es vedra is cool but the beach and facilities are poor.
there are plenty of nicer beaches nearby

I didn't find the beach to be that bad, but I've only been there early season (June)

In any case, nice restaurant there. You should give it a try .

cala d'hort is a bit of bitch to get to and parking is a mare (where isn't? ) and i'm not really bothered about facilities if i go to the beach. as far as the beach itself goes, its ok....and the view more than compensates.;) 8)

  i remember been stuck down there parking, and my bloody hill start was a disaster, smoke and clutch burning galore!!

I don't specially like this beach but I go everyyear because the views of the Vedra are stunning. I also like the restaurant called Es Boldadó, could stay there forever. Another point is to watch the sunset up the hill before going down to the beach. From up there you can see a special and natural sunset with Es Vedra included in the picture:D:D

I agree parking's horrendous, but I haven't found the beach too bad. I do like the restaurants though. The swimming there's pretty good as well. Most beaches you either have to hobble over rocks and pebbles or walk about a mile on sand before it's deep enough to swim. The beach here is sandy and slopes reasonably fast. Snorkeling's not bad either.

Incidentally another good way to see Vedra if you're in San An is to get the boat.

Hi,

Noticed a couple of people mentioned the restaurant Es Boldado, we were a bit disappointed, we went there when we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago, got lost trying to find it, and then when we got there we were told that they had finished serving food at 9:30pm! (It was only about 9:45 when we got there.) We were quite surprised considering this is relatively 'early' to eat out in Ibiza in general. Does anyone know if this is the 'norm' for them, or is it because it was still early season, (and it was a Thursday night).

Thanks,

daytime

because of its situation, i think it is predominantly a daytime restaurant.. and sunset. place ....can you imagine navigating through that forest late at night:lol: i love el boldado, the views of es vedra and the food is great xxxxxx

yes, it was a bit dodgy, even at that time of night, getting back on to the main road! :)

Looks like one we will have to try next time, and we'll have to get there a bit earlier...
